Concord cannon actually severely OP?
Just looking at the stats for the new Concord Cannon powerplay weapon in Edsy, and it looks incredibly overpowered? Like most powerplay weapons are sidegrades to the standard weapons, but according to the stats of this weapon... it looks like it deals higher damage per shot, with triple the rate of fire, and twice the projectile velocity when compared to a standard gimballed cannons?

Is this for real? How could a weapon this OP be released?

According to Edsy, a Concord Cannon with short range and auto loader deals 80.94 sustained DPS, with a medium hardpoint! What the heck?

Is this their way of forcing players to support the incredibly unlikeable Nakato Kaine?

This. Support who you want, you'll unlock it eventually anyway.

Could be a bug in edsy?
Don't have access yet.

ok this really seems to be a bug in edsy.

Look, here is a screenshot of its actual stats
reddit link

where it is stated that its DPS is 15.9 in its stock version
edsy claims it was 67.4

These stats make a lot more sense, yeah. They put the Concord cannon much more in line with other medium-sized weapons.... with slightly more DPS than a standard medium cannon.

Perhaps its still interesting weapon. With the better projectile speed, rate of fire and with high yield engineering could be usefull for attacking internal modules. I will check out when I get it unlocked.

I'll be more willing to take a position on new modules after I've actually tested them.

All I've heard about it, is that it's absolutely trash.

I've seen one guy on Youtube saying it was trash, but he just fitted it and fired off a few shots without a target... I'll wait for someone to test it properly, or until I unlock it - whichever comes first.

Can't be any fairer than that. If you find anything out, will you report your findings here?

Sure, could be a long time though.

I would guess this is a niche weapon. It is maybe trash for chewing hulls and MCs are probably a lot better. This however looks like it might be really cool at wrecking the powerplant assuming the breaching damage claimed at edsy is correct. It could be an interesting alternative to superpen railguns. I haven't tested it myself as I have no access yet, but the stats suggest that it might be really good for blowing up powerplants.

Just like variant of railgun, imperial hammer. Still interesting to test when I unlock this.

Cannons are already insanely powerful.
If this has higher shot speed by default, and anywhere near the DPS of existing cannons, it's massive by a good pilot against indie and feds in conflict zones.

Oh yeah I just finally unlocked these bad boys and threw some short range engineering on them and they're beastly.
