Finally made it to Colonia.

It was my first time going this insanely far. I'm a casual player in Elite, and I've dabbled in Engineer grinding. I'm currently using a Asp Explorer. And I currently only have 47 Ly. Took me a few weeks off and on and I've never felt a sense of accomplishment.

Those fast spinning neutron stars scare the absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of me. O7

Nice one! It really does feel like an accomplishment, and it makes me very glad Elite doesn't have teleporters flinging us all over the galaxy.

I did my first trip to Colonia in an AspX. The view from that cockpit is great.

Yeah, god forbid we start getting fast travel in the near future. Would ruin the exploration for me. The view is absolutely stunning. I didn't realise how bloody bright it is in Colonia with all the stars haha.

Yeah, when you come back to the bubble the sky seems dead by comparison.

The good thing about basing an explorer account in Colonia is you only have to go about 3 jumps in any direction (apart from towards the bubble or the galactic core) to find undiscovered systems.

And Colonia has almost everything you need, apart from Guardian modules and some Fed/Imp ships.

I also search for exobiology, (Its my main source of income lol.) The amount of creds you get for first discovery and first foot fall is absolutely mental. I went from having about 1 and a half mill, to 486 mill within a few weeks trying to understand how it all works. No idea what to do with myself with that kind of cash haha.

Im a bit scared to go back to the bubble. Was considering using a suicidewinder to get back. I think I'll head to Sag A, never seen a black hole yet so that'll be fun ^^

Yep just over.

You can plot a route using neutron stars and get there with about 90 jumps / under 1 hour or so?

I made one such mission once to get raw mats I could've gotten so much easier with prospecting loll
It was something like 110 jumps of around 25 and 30 Ly, with the type 8, (and I had to come back to get paid ) I was going crazy, I doubt that I'll ever do that again even if now I can jump 50+ with the mandalay

Mine is at 75.01 with A rated everything except life support and thrusters are 4Ds I'm loving it. It's a huge change.
Halfway to Colonial I took a sharp right now everything is first scan first land fall. Going to be a huge payday, I plan on doing a loop around SAG A before dropping off my discoveries.

Yeah, there's that good point in traveling far loll I'm just collecting what seems like peanuts compared to first fall exo discoveries.... but compared to space trucking... they're big peanuts ; )
Bad point is my friggin game keeps crashing since the update I can't figure out what it is
