Surface scanner
When you using the surface scanning for a planet do the blue lines that are 2 on top and 1 on the button that spins around when you target a planet mean anything?

I had never noticed them before, but they appear to show where your reticule is in relation to the planet. The single line seems to be always on the side of the circle furthest from the centre of the planet, which might be helpful if when you open the scanner you have no idea where the planet is.

While on the subject (surface scanner)... how do you get back the the Q and A to cycle through different stuff on the planet?
I can have it after I scan the planet but if I land and do my thing and go back in orbit to go to another place on the same planet, I can no longer get to pick what I'm looking for (Q and A)
Is there a way?
Sorry for derailing : (

You have to activate the surface scanner again, as if you were going to scan the planet again.

Yeah this is it exactly. You can only switch the filters, when you're in the surface scanner mode (you don't actually have to fire a load more probes and scan the planet again, just enable the scanner).
