I can't do the first quests of pp 2.0
Hi everyone, I'm with Arissa Duval and as I said above I can't do my first powerplay quests, I tried a bunch of things like giving up power, I looked at a whole bunch of guides on youtube, I do things as they say, I go to the right systems but nothing, no progress. :( if anyone has a solution I'm interested
ps I didn't try to go to another power but I would like to stay with Arissa

Im not sure if everyone has the same 5 quests, so it would be helpful if you gave us information about what your quest is, then maybe someone can help ;-)

I'm with Arissa and got them all done. Happy to answer specific questions.

First thing with the ones where you have to deliver something - click the item in your inventory and you'll get a precise description with where to take it.

Start with the easy ones - get the escape pods from a Power Wreckage POI and turn them into the power contact at a station in the same system.

Same with bounty hunting.

Have you figured out the Powerplay filters on the galaxy map? Before I say 'find an unoccupied system in range of an Arissa Stronghold' I need to know if you know how to do that.

I have tried to do all the quests for 2 days but for example I cannot return the pods to contact near the power because they are grayed out.
when I cash a bonty or scan a ship the quest doesn't progress and I don't have any merits either

These tasks are super easy, barely an inconvenience... once you know exactly how to do them. The descriptions and system map filters need improving though.

Not sure why you are having problems with the escape pods one NES, but i did hear you have to collect the escape pods from power wreckage sites and you can only hand them in in the same system where you found them. Not sure if that's true, but that's how i did it.

Yes they are easy but i think i have a bug And for the pods I recovered them from ships that I destroyed and I went to stations in the same system where I recovered them but it remains grayed out nonetheless

Go to the Power Wreckage POI and scoop them up there.

Make sure it's a Reinforcement system (one where YOUR power is 'reinforcing')

And if you can't find "reinforcement" systems on the galaxy map, that's because on the standard PP view it doesn't have it, same as acquisition systems, which causes a lot of scratched heads.

However, all expansion systems are considered reinforcement systems AFAIK.

But if you want to filter for reinforcement or acquisition systems, on the galaxy map PP view, a new icon appears which has extra PP filters and there you can view them.

One problem, at the moment, filters are borked, and when you click away from the filter you lose it. So go to the filter, select what you want, but don't click away. Locate a system that you want first, then click on it.

The escape pods mission was the most tedious. Think it requires 9? But yeah, best way to get them is to find the power wreckage poi or degraded emissions. power wreckage tended to have better results and even when it said threat 2 there were sometimes no enemy ships present.

The other annoying one is the rare goods. It's annoying trying to use the in game galaxy map to figure this out. Use https://inara.cz/ go to the data tab and look for rare goods in relation to the system you're currently in so you can find the closest place.

While I am with the Alliance, I agree that some of these could have been worded better. What's is nice is that even when completed, the tasks still keep adding merit points when performed over quota. Even only casually playing I'm almost at 3000 merit points and Rank 2 already. PowerPlay V2 requires a deeper understanding of the Galaxy Map.

"Scan ships & wakes in Reinforcement Systems": You don't even need a Kill Warrant scanner, hell, you don't even need to be in combat. As long as you're in a Fortified system, you can review targets in your CONTACTS tab of your external panel and after letting the scanner linger on a contact, you'll see 3 MERITS AWARDED scroll by on the upper right corner. If you are flying in real space, scan ships coming and going from space stations, combat or even random ships flying around the Nav Beacon, friendlies, hostiles, don't matter. Easiest merits to score if you're paying attention. Plus side is you will keep earning Merits over quota.

"Collect Bounties in Reinforcement Systems": You don't even need to have missions from contacts. Just fly around, carry some bait and they even come to you. Pirates easily rack up the points but if you are scanning, ANY ship tagged as "WANTED" counts. Eleven ships and you're done, but like scanning above, you will keep earning Merits over quota.

"Rescue Escape Pods from Reinforcement Systems": This one's a little slower. I find the easiest way to find Escape Pods is by entering FSS mode while in Supercruise or just scanning any "Unidentified Signal" until it changes to "POWER WRECKAGE SIGNAL". These usually yield at least 3 pods, 1 or 2 black boxes and around 3 wreckages you can scoop up and return to either your Power Contact or your Search & Rescue Contact, though always check with your Power Contact first to get your merits. Unless you are a VERY precise pilot with the Cargo Scoop, USE LIMPETS, otherwise crashing into a pod at speed destroys the pod.

"Transport Power Commodities to Undermining Systems: This one could have been worded better. Find a system just outside of your Power's that is Occupied or Unoccupied and is being Undermined, preferably by your power. Bring the correct type of documents and deliver them to your Power Contact in that system. In my case, we went to 39 Serpentis to satisfy this task. I have only done this task once.

"Sell Rare Good in Acquisition Systems": THIS ONE requires an understanding of the Galaxy Map. Use the Power Play button, toggle only your power. In the second row, choose the filter ACQUISITION systems. Search INARA for the nearest source of Rare Goods (marked by a gold star before it's name), buy the quota or more and haul it back to the nearest acquisition system. Now EVEN if you LOSE credits on the deal , you will still earn merits and satisfy the task if you deliver the quota or more to another system. You might break even or better if you can sell at an acquisition system further away from where you bought the rare goods.

Cheers and Good Luck, Commander!

The Acquiring system ... click on the nearest stronghold for your power, enable the strategic view, find an Unoccupied system (using the filters) with a connected line to the stronghold.

I did all my escape pods at a Stronghold Cruiser... Blew up the PP pilots around it, scooped their pods, handed them in at the front desk.
