I knew the face the second I saw the pic on the reveal livestream. I just had to rack my brains for a couple of hours to remember the actor's name so I could google it.
Nuking well-designed elements that are naturally fitting as permanent and contribute to the game´s identity is not a good thing in my opinion. As much as I don´t care about Thargoids at all, I found it to be a big letdown that the Titans have almost all been starched just after a few months and will soon be completely gone (if not already). And I am not even planning to explore that part of gameplay in a long time.
Obviously, it was designed to be a temporary (even if recurring) event, but I strongly despise when devs resort to the "fear of missing out" manipulation tactic. Being immune to it, I simply move on while occasionally spitting in disdain.
Besides that, a good person wouldn´t be named "Jerome".
A few months? Several thousand of us have been fighting the war every week for almost 2 *years*
That's why the Titans are getting nuked, not some ploy by Frontier to add them and quickly remove them again.
I initially wanted to write "after a few weeks" - perhaps then the sardonic nature of that understatement would have been more apparent.
Two years is a more than reasonable timeframe to opt in, and I was not against removing that particular event. Though it´s tough for me to recall how much of that time was spent by the first titan lazily waddling towards the Bubble while protected by plot armour as an excuse for the lack of the next phase, while the tireless heroes were trying to kamikaze into it like moths to light for a chance at a screenshot.
The addition of the faction fleet carriers is nice as we have more ships and modules available than what OHM station offers.
All, in all I'm liking the new Power Play 2.0 mechanics, and perks.
If anyone else is going to be flying around Nanoman doing combat missions give a yell. I think we killing pirates in Boodi at the moment.
