You have to access the sites computer to locate the hub or machine for the injection (virus or material)...Normally you will need a level 3 security clearance and you will have to stealthily clone that from someone and not get scanned afterwards until you dump that fake security clearance...The place to locate your objective in the computer system will have a mission icon next to it...You can also hack the computer terminal but you need to be carrying an illegal hack tool to do so...Do not hack a terminal frequented by guards...They will see it and sound the alarm...If your O2 gets low, just enter a pressurized building and you should get topped off again...It used to be that way...Been awhile since I have done 'on-foot missions'...

If I remember right, it will give you the system, but you have to scan the systems 'Nav Beacon' to locate the exact position on the moon it crashed on...Do not land right next to the ship...Give yourself some space as there will probably already be scavengers at the ship or they will arrive shortly after you land or start heading to the ship...Rarely you will get a ship that has nobody or gets no visitors...Rarely...Approach and grab/download what ya need to and get gone...You can scavenge a full power cell off of some ships when you get comfortable with the missions...I usually don't grab the broken/empty power cells...There is other stuff to scavenge, but you will learn as ya go...

HEY CMDR :cozyjunimogreen:

That was a bit hard, equal to a poison or pyrocatalyst
To feed into the settlement system, you need a good Maverick or Dominator spacesuit. I recommend that you do not complete an illegal mission at the beginning.

On almost all ground stations you need Level 3 access control. If you feed something like that into the poison. The alarm goes off and the mission is over. Always go to a TERMINAL first and with level 3 access you can see where everything is in the station.

Cheer up, it's difficult to get started
It's better not to do an illegal mission at the beginning. that just frustrates.

ok thanks sorry where do i find the nav beacon?

On your left monitor in the cockpit you have the targets. There is a filter with signal sources. Maybe you have to check the box. Navigation buoy should be there. When you come out of cruise speed, you immediately look at your radar in the middle and a small white icon should pop up. This is navigation buoy. But you still have to view it and activate it so that the download begins

Next to the jump star...It will be on your '1 key' drop down menu...Target it and drop in on it like you would a station or signal source...Target the Nav Beacon and it will start an automatic download of the system...I hit zero throttle while doing this and you have to be close enough but you usually are when you drop in...Beware...If you carry cargo, there are sometimes Pirates at the Nav Beacons...Especially the 'Compromised Nav Beacons'...I usually do Non-Cargo missions with an empty hold as the Pirates will just ignore you if you carry nothing...Mission Related Targets will still attack you but you don't get those with On-Foot missions...The killers are usually waiting at your destination or will show up shortly after you...I recommend the 'Executioner'...Pop them before they even spot you...One hit kill without shields...Two hit kill with shields...Takes a little experience with the distance shots, but once you get it down...It is a field leveler even against multiples...Don't be merciful...They want to kill you...

If I kill a guard and no one sees me do it, are the other guards automatically hostile? Do they just "know"?

No - but they will raise the alarm pretty quickly (Then they all know!)
Best bet is to disable the alarm before you start shooting o7

If you take time to watch their patterns you will see blind areas that the guards occasionally step into...Areas that are not covered by another guard or personnel (pattern or line of sight)...You can quietly electrocute them with your charge tool on overload and the alarm will not be raised as no one will find them...Do not walk around with your charge tool on overload and do not do the quiet kill while someone else is watching...Then you will need to do some running...Only perform a quiet kill with a masked or suppressed weapon...Guards will usually hear an un-modded weapon and search out the source...Suppressed for indoors...Masked for outdoors...Again, make sure no one sees or will eventually find the body...You will only have a set amount of time to get things done if someone will find the body and that will ruin the covert mission if the alarm is raised...It is best to disable the alarms before you do anything but sometimes the alarm panel is so deep in the Command or Power building that reaching it is an even greater risk of an alarm being raised...Stealth missions are super fun because no two missions have the exact patterns and locations...You have to adapt to each one...Sometimes they are just plain impossible...Know when to dump one and find a new mission...Occasionally the weak spot is so slight and the timing is so tight that it just becomes almost impossible...That is when you cross your fingers and go for it...Or dump...Definitely get the 'Quieter Footsteps' mod if you love doing stealth missions...It will come in handy...

I have these mods on my level 5 Maverick suit and I can take a lot of hits before I get rendered unconscious...Added Melee Damage...Extra Ammo Capacity...Reduced Tool Battery Consumption...Extra Backpack Capacity...I am probably going to dump the 'Added Melee Damage' as I rarely perform Melee and I will instead get the 'Improved Battery Capacity' or the 'Quieter Footsteps' mod...I think you can only have 4 mods on a level 5 suit but if you can now have 5, I will get them both...You used not to be able to dump an installed mod to place another (you basically had to re-engineer a whole new suit) but that may have changed...I will find out in the next few weeks as I am itching to hit the ground again...Also, remember to walk around un-shielded to conserve battery level, but raise your shield when the shooting starts...It will save you from getting KO-ed many, many times...Always top off your battery count when you can and charge up frequently...You will find that the low battery juice situation is your worst enemy...
