Russian in chat. (English client)

Sup. I have question to all russian-speaking players. Does russian language works in english clients on your machines? Because for me it sure isn't working. I get all those wierd squares in my chatbox. Is works in russian client, but I dont want to use it since translation and fonts are breaking immersion for me.

The game client chat should support UTF8 at last check, I know most of the texts in the game currently support and render out Cyrillic. :)

Granted, we don't have an ingame real-time text translator. :)

No, no. I mean cyrillic in chat. Thing is, I see squares instead of letters and wanted to ask other commanders who use english client if they expirince this and if they have any solutions that can be applied on my side.
Well, maybe it'll be fixed with the upcoming update.

I am russian-speaking, have russian OS but always play using english client only.
Never tried russian in chat before. Just tested it.
So, it doesn't work! I see only squares...

I have no ideas how this can be fixed. But you may use english letters instead of some russian symbols. I mean, there are english analogues that any russian can easily understand. For example,

RU --> ENG
А --> A
Б --> B
В --> V
Г --> G
...

I know about transliteration, but thing is I type faster in pure russian and it is easier to understand when reading. And time you spend typing and reading is cruicial in combat.

Just tried it. English client just renders cyrillic as rectangles for me too.

This sounds to me like the russian client is using a different font which supports cyrillic, so there it would indeed work, but not in the english client, because the font does not have the cyrillic symbols.
This should be easily fixed by adding the symbols for all supported languages to the standard fonts used in game.
