Missile rack or Fragment Cannon or Cannon?
I need something that shreds hull, so that i can take on larger targets.
Multi-cannons are ok, but i'd rather hard-hitting and easy to use!
Viper MK3

Plasma Accelerator, but if you really must, heat seeking missile launcher.

I'm flying a Viper MK3, don't think I can get P-As on this ship.

For me multi-canon is the best. Fragment canon are ok but you have a lot less ammo. Cannon you too much often miss your target. I found quite useless, or maybe i didn't learn how to use them. Missile are nice but expensive and easily countered.

So for now i'm sticking with multi-canon. I'm using it with a Cobra.

Torps do a good job, missiles not so good. Torps have really limited ammo though and are expensive. I used them on assassination missions. But not for when i'm wanting to stay out hunting for a while.

Then i tend to go for the Plasma Accelerator. The largers Canons are good as well. If you only have smaller hardpoints, the multicanons are decent.

Frag canons are good, but two things you need to be aware of. You really need to be practically on top of your target to maximize damage, and secondly, because the shots spread out, they are not so good for focusing on single subsystems, then damage tends to spread around them.

Dumb-fire missile rack ftw. munched many elite anacondas.
Torps are for LARGE ships, one shot kills or massive damage, so low capacity.

High capacicity heat seeker missiles on a Viper and some lasers on top with auto tracking/firing and bottom for heat seeker missiles and multi-cannon (fixed mount) does a decent job.

Lasers on top keep firing whilst you fly about, and manually fire the multi-cannon and missiles on the bottom mounts.

Get a Viper MkIV for better fitting.

Best just to fire a heat seeker or two at pesky eagles. Keep firing lasers and cannons at large slow ships.

You can fit a very large capacity heat seeker missile rack on a Viper.

Since there is no way to export fittings, I cannot share my fitting, and no I won't use a website to manually create one.

On the Asp, I once used 4 dumbfires on the small hardpoints. It was oddly satisfying.

Fit 1x gimbled Beam on your heaviest point + 3 auto-cannons - if you are are bounty hunting at REZs or NAV points this will let you chew for a while on NPC's up to python successfully - you might want to avoid the Anoconda's if other NPC law are not targeting therm...

This will give you a good hour vs. cash ratio.

Plus fit some chaffs to stay alive longer - they are better than shield enhancements for the work mentioned above - small ships won't hurt your shields once you learn to dog-fight - but you might need to prevent a bigger ship like a python, or Fed Assault Ships etc. from from disabling your shields.

If your after a one hit wonder, and want o kill one taget and fly back to statioan after - missiles and torps might be the thing, but remember you will need to take the targets shields down before the torps/missiles do normal damage...

But if it's a choice between Missile Rack or Frag cannon - take Frag Cannon - and be close when you use it...
