Thrustmaster t-flight Hotas X thrusters wont work with POV Hat

I have bought the Thrustmaster t-flight Hotas X, and when I try to assign lateral and horizontal axis to the POV hat, its refusing to aknowledge it. I left click on either, to go into assign mode like you would when remapping anything, and when I press POV hat in any direction .... nothing happens. How do I get my thrusters to work with my POV Hat on my Thrustmaster t-flight Hotas X? Any suggestions or help appreciated!!

i have only just today set my thrustmaster t-flight hotas up and my thrusters set to hat button work fine.i used this guide

Is your Hotas set to PC at the back of it?

I had this issue, once that was sorted (and the light on the throttle is green) it worked straight away.

ok, yes it is set to PC. I did figure something out just now. I was able to assign Left Thruster, Right Thruster, etc with the POV Hat, but the POV Hat wont assign to lateral or horizontal axis. But at least now I can assign up, down, left, and right thrusters to the appropriate direction with my POV Hat.

most people have the yaw axis set to the twist if that is what you are meaning.

no, there is also a setting that says Latteral Axis, and Horizontal Axis, it is listed under the Flight Thrust Section of the controls. My Yaw Axis is still the default Joy RZ-Axis which is the twist. Since the Latteral Axis and Horizontal Axis will not respond to any direction of the POV Hat, I simply assigned UP to Thrust Up, DOWN to Thrust Down, LEFT to Thrust Left, and RIGHT to Thrust Right.

ok I see what you mean now..... I think that may be for if you play with 2 sticks or somthing, as otherwise you don't have enough axis (though i guess the tab on the throttle counts as one so you are 1 short)

I appreciate the link, but I do not have a Seitek X-55, I have a Thrustmaster t.flight HOTAS X. As listed in my original post and in the title of the discussion. Besides as also stated in my previous post, I already figured it out, thanks anyway.

Oh okay, I know x55 has HOTAS in its name too, thought it was the same thing. Glad to hear you got it working.

here is the bindings i use for my thrustmaster hotas X

there is a downarrow in the middle top of the google drive that you can use to down load it once its downloaded put it in your steam libaray\steamapps\common\elite dangerous\products\elite- dangerous-64\controlschemes\

then in options and under controls tell it to us the bindings and now the hat will work when you hit the head toggle button. well and you will have about 28+ other controls at you finger tips all the time.
