Jameson crash site gone?

so I was trying to farm encoded mats for engineering and I went to hip 12099 and they're was nothing there, am I doing something wrong?

Are you at the right planet?

Have you done a surface scan with the DSS probes?

Are you at the right co-ordinates, if that's how you're looking for it? Are you looking at legacy coordinates, or live coordinates (many of the popular sites were moved with the rendering upgrade)?

Then you need to scan the system. A basic ping won't do it, you need to ping the discovery scanner first. Next, you need to use the Full Spectrum System scanner (FSS) to map the system.

Did the mapping thingy maybe it was a bug, cant be seen on the map

Make sure that the filter in the External panel does not exclude "points of interest".
(UTC 00:40:00 I checked locally. It was possible to retrieve it without any problems).

Too close to the star, and the planet is on the other side?

They are revamping finding engineered materials, in our favor.
Along with the Jameson site; adding more per scan or more modules to scan.

Same with the shards, found a few out by where hawks gaming does his mat farming, less frequent tho, still found a few. Also do.... you have a link to the video where they announce the changes?

Ignore the system map for now. Can you get a screenshot of your FSS screen?

OP as funky says you should indeed be able to find the planet via FSS.
-sometimes jumping out of the system and then back in fixes it.
