Yea, I personally love the sound in the game, to say in space you shouldn't be really hearing engines, lasers, cannons, explosions, they have done a great job on it.
I watched a vid the other day about the FSS and scanning the planets, did you know every type of planet you zoom into has a different sound, rock, ice, water, earth like... WOW.
Which is great, even on this world alone we all say it different. especially if we've not learned it in the military / police etc and we're just the Joe Bloggs of the world. Maybe take note of where it's different maybe Lincoln are more Federation planets and Lima are Empire? Or it might be just random. Does the same place always say Lincoln?
Ship names - different story, of course. But why not all of your ship ID?
