Yes, it is still cheating. Even if somebody else is cheating, it doesn't excuse you doing the same. Combat logging is a cheating mechanics. Your excuses of using it are just that - excuses.

Besides, you don't know for sure that they are cheating. There are a lot of different variables that can be at play, to make your attack to be ineffective. While you will be thinking that your opponent just has infinite shields. For example, you have a short range blaster engineering on your lasers to make them stronger, and you are shooting from over 1km away. They will barely tickle your opponent from that distance, especially if he has a 50+ resistance of his Prismatics on an iCutter.

The same is with the "infinite ammo". You opponent may just use an ammo synthesis. Never excuse your own cheating with "but they also cheat!" Cause you may be wrong about them.

I am able after 2800h to recognize a cheater , no excuses i pay my rebuy

sadly the game is full of hack tools user that is the fact and the question of this tread

they don't want to farm they don't want to grind they want all stuff direct , me i farm i grind i make all that all player don't stop to complain to get a pvp fight rigged ... no sorry im not stupid i don't give a F;;;k....

Only Frontier can know for sure if there was cheating involved, by checking their logs.

Just ask around, how many players here have seen another cheater in their thousands of hours of play. If the problem was so severe as you claim it to be, then a cheater should be seen at least every day. Let's see how many here have seen one, shall we?

im not Data Scientist for sure, im just a Elite game lover i play more than 8h by day. i buy books , reclamation, premonition i take time to discover the lore indeed i dont know lot of thing about the Elite game but i work hard and i dont let any cheater destroy my game

Just saw 2 cheaters in all my years here:

One was flying a FDL with a speed from ~700m/s and weapon range with beam lasers from ~8,7km. -> reported and blocked him

The other one was a guy with endless shields. Me and 2 others fired at him and he didn´t even lost 1% of his shields. -> also reported and blocked


Both found in one of the children´s playground systems.

And that is my point. What you may think is cheating, it might be just an intended game mechanics that you don't know about. It happened more than once on these forums, too.

Yep. And as this game has a mostly adult playerbase, you wouldn't see that many of cheaters in the game.

This whole "cheaters" problem is just blown out of proportions. Yes, there are cheating tools - every game has them. But you wouldn't see them being used that much in this game, other than by some attention seeking people who want to prove something by making videos of them blocking a station's mailslot.

but we have no tools to detect hacker that is the thing can be ameliored in the future that will be great and reduce the combat log exploit
and make to let the dev work on the game only instead report

if cheater can stop play this game its the best solution ... im in secret group in Payday the Heist no cheater reach this position i dont cheat anyway
