System Map Load Times / Crashes

I feel like I've barely got started with this game, yet most the time I seem to play it's like im just waiting for maps to load, and thats if they load at all. So far im up to about 4 or 5 times that i've had to force the program to close because the loading system box just stays there forever. And when it does load it still takes way too long then it feels like it should. Also the route plotting seems to not like me. 1 in every 3 times I use it it just forgets the route and turns the icon red on the map?

Im playing in 5760 x 1080 but considering the VR compatability I wouldent think that would cause the issue?

map loading takes few secs (2-4s) usually. It is connecting to server for that so any network issues (namely packet loss due to overloaded wifi) can cause timeout issues, sewerely prolonging loading time.

VR works on 1920x1080 or similar resolution so not sure how that would compare.

But you are right, resolution should not cause trouble.

As of routes, they never failed me. Not sure what "red icon" you are referring to, would like to see it. Anyway, routes are forgot after leaving the game. They might be wrong planned if you planned it before taking cargo (reopening map and closing it will do recount). And if you target something else after jump (like star for scan) you need to press button to select next system on route.

But it all sounds like network issues.

Ive got 60+ fps and had no issues with lagg so dont think its a hardware issue. As for the network, im hard wired into my router with a 10mb DL. So dont think its that either. When the system map does accutaly load, all the planets do span across all 3 monitors so I guess it may be some sort of strange resolution bug thats causing it if no one else is having the same thing.

The red icon im refering to is the "plot route" icon, when it wont allow me to plot a route. (Which happens often for me)

The loading times of the system map seem to take me from about 7 seconds up to 20. It seems if its still loading after 20 it never does. (Ive left pc for 5 mins and come back to the same screen when its done it before)

bulletin board is loading fast for you? It's just the same connection type.

As of red icon.. I've never had problem. The only time "plot route" icon is unavailable is when you are on system map of system where you already are (sometimes happens I accidentally open my system insted of the one I want to go to).

Plot route is for hyperjumps. Always works on galaxy map and should work on system map where you are not (since it plans route on galaxy to there). Inside system you navigate through "selecting" targets (station, land base, planet, etc)
