Should I wait a few years for a server emulator?

So I wasted 120$ on this game.. I thought it was cool a yea ago, but well, there is no chance of sinleplayer cause they gotta get money and they have to have DRM. Really these devs are pretty greedy, so before I play this again should I just wait for a server emulator?

Not if the game servers are dead, thats why I said in a few years, this game probably won't last that long

That is not the reason there is no "singleplayer". The Background Simulation they have running wouldn't work unless everyone is connected to it. If you want "Singleplayer" then play Solo. Hit CTRL + B ingame and take a look at how much data the game is using....virtually none at all.

So whats the reason you can't play Solo?

As to the no solo play mode, I played solo till I got my controles worked out the way I liked them. I do private grouping so its only me and my friends. So as far as soloing goes, um that's a thing. You sound like your babaling about things without doing proper research or exploringt he game. No solo mode? really, I found that within few minutes of starting the game. I don't know about you but I didn't pay any where near 120 for the game and unlike other MMOs, its not pay to play. I like doing co-op play so I use private-group to avaoid the P2P and W2W aspects and just play with my friends. I agree with SMRFKILR, did you do any research before you spent so much?

a lot of people didnt research, regardless of how much they spent. We saw it when it came to steam, people saw space on their store page and bought it, with zero idea what they were buying.

OP - I have now idea how you spent $120 without understanding what you were buying. To spend that much you would either have had to buy both base game and Horizons separately when they were at full price (meaning you bought base game before Horizons was available) or bought premium beta.

Either way, you not only should have known what you were buying, but you also waited a long time to make this post (you said a year ago? Why now then?).

Either that or you are exaggerating a lot to make this very weak point that most people will find hard to take seriously.

FD have said they will release a standalone server when they are going to close down the game servers, but that probably won't be for many years yet.

In light of your post though, and the large reason to doubt your initial post, i'm closing this thread as potentially being inteional flamebait or trolling.

If you want to be taken seriously, I suggest next time you present your position in a way that seems more believable.
