What is the "Robigo trade run"?

Upon researching money making methods, this came up. Apparently it's an efficient way of making money, so can someone explain it to me?

your ship should be fast with high jump range ~25 Lj, enough fuel to fly ~370-400 Lj without stop and ~60-80t of cargo space. an asp is the best choice (in my opinion).

Robigo runs are actually more fun than trading and pretty easy as long as you know how to avoid pirates and cops. You have to make 20+ jumps to get to the destination and each time you jump to a system theres a chance that pirates or system authorities will come after you. But you can make 15-30 mil per run depending on your trade rank and relationship with the groups that offer the missions.

listen,, i got a nice little trade run,, imperial slaves all legal- can`t get fined or anything,, and its a 9ly` jump `1` jump away,, from where you get the slaves from,, buy @ 13,750,,, and `1` jump sell @ 16,560,,,

Alright! I made my run properly on the first try, yet failed 2 out of 4 because of a random scan at a space port which I didn't react too..

Also shoutout to you longstar for linking me the guides XD Gave them a read while I was safe in a random system, and they helped alot ^^

Sounds like where I've left my trading Python parked, except that's only a 6Ly jump... Only makes about 675000 credits (profit) per run... So every 3 or 4 minutes...

Just did my first Robigo run, WOOO what a rush. Equipped with only a C3 fuel scoop and a ton of cargo space, and foolishly no shields cause I forgot to ditch the SRV equipment, I did a run with 1 illegal run and 1 shadow run, with the shadow run paying nearly 3 mil by itself and the other 1.5.

Managed to do it, got interdicted twice, broke one with bouncing into hyperspace. Other got me to 50% hull and had me holding my breath the whole way.

Gotta say I love the payday though. Feels wonderful to make some money again.

How hot are we talking?

It's extremely boring. Only a hard-core boring person can complete these runs well. If you get one scan you fail completely. I went on Robigo runs before 1.5 hit and they were a lot easier, now you have to be extremely careful and keep an eye out. A lot of stress now, I dont recommend on going on Robigo runs unless you are willing to try it. Each run pays the amount of 5-80mil depending on cargo space. Its a shadow smuggling run, that sucks! I recommend regular smuggling runs that pay the same amount like Robigo. Or go on loop trade routes, they pay a lot as well (depending on cargo space of course).

The amount of stress! Don't do Fehu runs! THE STRESS!

But I learnt from my mistakes and now find them easy :)

Though first rule of smugglers club...no one talks about smugglers club!

There are some fairly simple tricks to doing them, from the basic "submit/boost"... but the key is always the ship... you take a knife to this gunfight you are gonna fail miserably! Preperation is key.
