Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X
I had a question regarding it. Does anyone have a good set up that can use all the game controls on it without a keyboard and mouse?

Yes!
The joystick is all the usual controls in terms of pitch/roll/yaw
Fire 1 is the trigger
Fire 2 is the big black/red thingy on the joystick
Switch Firegroup Next is the L3 button for me
Target ahead is the R3 thing at the tip of the stick
Hat does distribution of power

On the throttle I have it on full range
The paddle on the throttle does boost on a pull right, and toggles flight assist on a pull left
Button R2 (9) on the throttle is my target next subsystem
Button L2 (10) the little guy, is my fire Frame Shift Drive button
Button 8 is my UI switcher button
Button 5 is my target highest threat button
Button 6 is my toggle hardpoints button
Button 7 is my switch to alternate flight controls while held, which turns the flight model into thrust laterally and vertically
Button SE down on the base of the stick is my toggle landing gear
Button ST is unbound but I guess I'd probably make it pop a shield cell bank or something

I also have it set up for the UI menus
The throttle paddle on the front switches tabs forward on right pull and back on left pull
The hat does everything else
Fire 1 is click Fire 2 is back

Not all, but almost. I use KB/M for menus and maps, but the Pov Hat is set to menu navigation (if headlook is off) and stick button 2 is set to "Click". I dont have a UI Focus button set though as I dont use it.
Here is the config file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q7zd694p2n7olmy/AriochHotasT2.1.8.binds?dl=0
And here is the setup listed:
1 : Fire
2 : Secondary fire | / | Deploy/Retract Hardpoints | Headlook toggle
3 : Target Ahead | Highest thread
4 : Boost | Next Fire group | Previous Fire group
5 : Thrust Left | / | Lights | /
6 : Mod1
7 : Toggle FA | Cruise | Jump | Cargo
8 : center view | / | Landing gear
9 : Thrust Right
10: Mod2
SE: Shield Cell
ST: SilenT Running | comms (mic) | / | Jettison all
↑ : look up | pwr eng | Previous subtarget | Heat Sink
↓ : look down | pwr reset | Next subtarget | Chaff
→ : look right | pwr wep | Next hostile | Next target
← : look left | pwr sys | Previous hostile | Previous target

The Rudder paddle on the throttle is set to vertical thrust. Right is up, left is down.
For SRV it is set as Roll axis.

I am using two modifier buttons (6 and 10), the first action is without modifier, the second is +Mod1 the third is +Mod2 the fourth is +Mod1+Mod2. So for example Button 7 toggles Flight Assist, with button 6 held it enters Supercruise, with button 10 it jumps to the navtarget system, with both buttons 6 and 10 held it toggles the Cargo Hatch.

Not sure how useful you find that though, as usually different people have different preferences for controls. But you can take that setup if you want, and customize what you dont like about it.

Here is a visual representation of my setup. I assume Mod3 and Mod4 on there are seperate because of in which order I pressed the buttons when binding, both should be Mod1+Mod2 together.

I've got a tablet with a bunch of controls running through roccat powergrid for mine. Flight and combat controls on the stick/throttle, everything else on the tablet.

That reminds me... I need to update the macro for the docking request... It's currently "1ee s ", so it does the docking request but leaves the window open. Need to stick another 1 on the end :p

I just tried out this Powergrid thing from your post because it sounds so awesome... app keeps crashing on my phone and tablet :sadcthulhu:

Looking at alternatives now, this "Touchdown" thing looks cool, if a bit of a hassle to set up.

I have everything apart from pause. I use one of the stick buttons -on the right side can't remember num right now- as a shift to double button numbers

Restart your pc and your tablet. I had the same problem when I first installed it. And make sure it's allowed through your firewall as connection issues always make it crash as well... Anything that can be used to emulate keyboard controls should work though.

Just tried it now, and it still poops on me sadly. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Touchdown seems a bit of a hassle to set up, looking up keyboard/media player control emulators on the Play store, which is the next best thing.

Bugger. Odd... Had a look on their forums? I've just done a quick google and found http://power-grid-forum.roccat.eu/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=591&sid=0ff94a8e1002dcbabda3002e36cee165 which may or may not help :?
