and if you bypass the tutorial you can start back at the old starting area.
also if you get a suicide winder and when you choose the free side winder option you will also end back up at the old starting area
not knowing that, i have found a workaround by selecting systems on the nav screen and then checking on the galaxy map, if theyre in the right direction, lol
Yeah they're still active. 19 rescues in the last 24 hours according to their webpage:

I'm not sure if they already have Fuel Rats decals/skins... But they do have in game advertising. You'll see them mentioned on some of the billboards around stations.
Custom logos is unlikely to happen. If they were to ever release it, there'd be 1000s of phallic logos all over space within a week.

You can't, but some of us have multiple steam accounts with multiple copies of the game.
...it would be nice to be able to visit the new start experience when i coax newbies into trying out Elite. maybe the devs could introduce a new office availible at stations in the sectors outside of the restricted start zone space who apply ship and tech restrictions in exchange for access so our veteran characters can visit our newbies friends within the zone.
Maybe only allow for type 6, eagle, Viber and other appropriate ships along with no engineered equipment in exchange for a licence effect being applied to such ships allowing you to enter... this would allow the player to park their main ship outside and switch to a licenced ship to enter so they can meet up with a friend.
other things would be to form a wing with their buddy and when the buddy starts any missions the veteran gains the ability to do the missions along with them as a support. when leaving the sector the licenced ship can then be parked at the special station types. for some issues i forsee maybe have this ship have a basic fuel scoop function built into it just in case someone takes it too far from the unique station type and needs a way to get back and include a permanent contact in the left menu of the ship showing them where the stations are.
the only goal for this is to allow for a more cooperative experience allowing the veteran players to more easily invite new players to try out the game and help them acclimate to the style of sim-type space games.
A lot of people new to the space-game genre enter the experiences through the more heavily advertised games like No Man's Sky or Starfield and going from those arcade-like experiences into a detailed simulation experience, there will be obvious adjustments to consider which i feel is the main hold up for Elite when it comes to newbie retention. this is NOT a bad thing. simulation games are respected by those who prefer that type of experience and "dumbing it down" or adopting too many "Arcade" mechanics adopted by other titles would change the experience away from simulation.
Sorry about the word wall.
