-> my GF son loves story-telling games, not online, he is 18.

But i thinked ELITE could interest him :

he got Xbox Series X for Christmas.

It's still available on PS4/5, so it should still be available on Xbox...? They cancelled the Odyssey dlc for consoles, but Horizons is still active on the Legacy servers for consoles as far as I'm aware.

Also, it's not cross-platform. And Horizons Legacy plays in a different (one can say: "parallel") galaxy with Horizons Live / Odyssey.

this isnt really a story telling game, there is no script or story to follow. The missions you pick are self picked, not part of an on going plot line. That said I think the game is really neat and unique. but it is most certainly not really story/plot driven.

Have him watch some game play videos. I was turned onto this game by watching a youtube named the mighty jingles. he narrated his own game play, was funny. the game play itself and graphics made me want to give it shot. been playing ever since.

i'm sorry i get upset... the up guyz try to tell us ELITE.. even i never said we newcomers....

ODYSSEY expansion -> ONLY PC !!!

ELITE (and Saturn) & "Horizons" expansion ->

PC, XBox Series X, Playstation.. (no cross-platform)

ELITE + Horizons expansion :

Space missions, (ELITE)
landings on planets, (Horizons expansion + jeeper'... over planets..... base attacks/hacking/etc...)

that's okay :

lots of stuffs to do...

you can be explorer... with a "Taxi" ship, longest hyperspace "JUMPS"...

i'm not talking alone,shared topik.. i know game by heart.

PS: IMPORTANT NOTE if you can read it >

- when you're playing online, same player can kills you/hunt you/harass you, when you're respawning after death...

this bad attitude can be reported if repeated as "harassment", to a "GM" (GameMaster on support, or whatever you call em... DM...)

but it never happen in ELITE...

The Milky Way is so big, you rarely see others players...

why it's a LONELY game mostly... BUT,

you can use menu for MULTIPLAYER.

You can crossplay on xbox via geforce now. (Odyssey too)
For PVE only, you can make your own group.
