i would tell you if your shopping for a cable just make sure it is compatible with your countries head set.
i would just bite the bullet and pay extra in my own country so if anything goes wrong then getting it replaced will be simple transaction not a frustrating one.
I'm sure it's going to be a hassle either way :(
Back to triple monitors for me :) That's still great though, with my system I can run everything maxed out, and to be honest for long game sessions the VR can be a bit tiring, y'know?
But i know if i buy local at least i know if there is a problem i can deal with people either over the phone or face to face.
and quick fix is never a solution
i would go back to where you got the reverb and tell them what happen and asked for a replacement if it is still under warranty.
but if you brought the G2 used then maybe think you may have a faulty unit and that is why they sold it in the first place.
and never buy second hand electrical s
I have a cable ductaped to a frame now, and unplugging/replugging a few times gets it working for me. But sometime it still loses the connection mid-game. Yep, unpleasant. At least, I have an older Vive Pro to fall back, if it stops working altogether.

Will report on results. The site looks legit, that domain was registered 7 years ago, shouldn't be a scam. The site has updated their stock availability after my purchase, too (was 87, now 86).
*Edit* From my roommate just now

Thanks for that...these sob's are charging double, 185.90. But I may suck it up, at the very least I'll have a backup...but that's almost half what I paid for entire setup.
It doesn't give an estimate on shipping time...can you ask your roommate did he order it, and what is the shipping time (assuming he is in the U.S.)
Found 1 on ebay that's less and in the U.S., the rest are all China :(
I may still go through the RMA process for the entire set, contacting the seller tomorrow.
A week sounds good I guess. I think I'll do that first, the RMA process looks like a pain because I'm already getting bounced around, and the seller info in Amazon looks like mud, looks like they don't want to be contacted, you know how that goes :(
Think I'll do the cable first, and if that fixes it I'll harass them to give me another cable or a new set, that way I have a backup, or can resell one of them.
I certainly miss it, but there are things about the triple monitors that are good too, as I have a good system and can pretty much max everything out.
I remember when I assembled the set, looking at that connection and no liking it. I made sure and routed the cable the way they said, but apparently that's not very good. I plan on finding a way to stiffen up that last little portion where the connector is. Maybe a couple of small steel bars wrapped in tape to keep it inline and nice and stiff. Lesson learned, I hope.
I'd be willing to wait a bit longer.
