Gathering Raw Materials...Why TF Change.

Why did they change the way you gather Raw Mats? It is now nearly impossible I starter at 11am EST it is now 5 have have not found anything, Are the Devs trying to chase the players away again.....

What kind of Raw Materials? Like Elementals? The best way to find those is search for Geological sites on planetary surfaces, It's a lot faster than it used to be once you get planet-side, but finding a suitable planet for the materials you're after is more time consuming. Once you find a good one though, bookmark it.

Missions aren't clear on requirements until you start trying to accomplish them and find out how much you are missing. Go mine a belt which if you don't buy a butt load of ship adds you are zapping and cargo netting forever...
Which for new players is a pain imo. I doubt planet side mining is any easier to figure out from that view.
That's like someone suggesting I could get ebreaches from super carrier specific vendor and I just got the game like last week ...

Did that followed the video. The markers for the locations used to show up, not any more . Everyone said the crystals will be the bight blue, well every F’n thing is blue. Totally not working flew to all of the F’n planets…

Post 26 on that thread contains my sets of coords too.

The material gathering is faster in Ody than Horizons Legacy btw. A good sized shard field is much bigger than the Horizons version.

Also, deploy your SRV to one side, then take off and bomb the shards with mines. Land quickly and drive around scooping all you can carry.

Some of the geological sites (system map) are called different things in the navigation panel, like wreckage or building or signal or something else.

You'll find guarded areas that contain trade & mined goods, some are marked as stolen. Most of the time they have to be targeted up close inside the red boundary to be able to pick them up.

Outside the red zone you can sometimes find regular crafting mats. Shoot a white box target to reveal up to 5 mats.

If you want materials the lazy way:
Go laser mining and trade the low tier elements up to the expensive stuff at a material trader.

When you´ve got to much other materials, which you don´t need, go to a raw material trader on a station to exchange it for others.

They got seriously nerfed in Odyssey. Basically, they are no longer clumped together, you have to 'find' them.
