Switched to KB/M the other day for Goids. Not going back anytime soon.
That would be me. Except I always rebound it so that the X axis was roll, and the twist axis was yaw.

I ended up shelling out for a better dual stick setup with the VKB gladiator. It's pricey though.
But between the software issues (TARGET GUI is a nightmare to use...in Avorion, you can't even do a full loop if you're on Mouse Steering, because TARGET GUI thinks it can't go any further for some reason) and general durability issues, I no longer recommend them.
Between the two, I'm seeing twelve of the stick's buttons on the base, which means you're taking your hand off of one of the sticks to reach them. I see that as a serious design flaw; one which might limit the versatility of your control layout.
You'll pay double the price, but I highly recommend VKB. On the stick alone, you're getting three hats and an analog stick, whereas the T16000M just has the one hat.
