Thoughts on Sealclubbing?

Title says all. What do you guys think about sealclubbing and those who do it?

My honest thoughts would get me banned.

The "polite" version??

Bunch of playground bullies who don't do actual PvP because they lack the skill, so they fight the only people they know they can beat. And doing so they pretend they are great combat fighters and are "helping", where as they are useless, deluded, bullies, ultimatly too cowardly to go find some "fairish fights"

Damn son, if that was the polite version I'd hate to hear the honest version. I feel the same way, but I always do like heading into Eravate and tracking down some of them for ♥♥♥♥♥. Feels like I'm crusading for the poor. Also its always fun to just kill someone.

Honestly... I'm old enough that I've played enough games to know there are a group of people who will always "seal club" because they lack the skills to do anything better, and get off on ruining other players evenings.

I agree with your views on this, and also your assesment of the general character of those involved. Pretty much the crowd who goes in for the psycopathic murder sprees are cut out of the same bolt of cloth as the drivers who swerv to run over the chipmonk on the road because it gives them a little thrill in their jockeys, or the guys who get a laugh out of trying to get seagulls to eat steel bb's.

There's no point blaming them for doing what comes naturally, they can't help being what they are.

Frontier are the ones who deserve criticism for allowing their game to degenerate into a griefers' paradise.

One might even say that because of FD's inaction and failure to implement in-game consequences, they encourage it.

I don't care at all if a new player gets killed by a veteran in a powerful ship. If that vet follows a person around and camps them or whatnot, then they are scum.

I am a proud seal clubber.

There is punishment.. it's called a bounty system. If you want to play club penguin you know where to go, this is an open space sim with faction, relationships and a bounty system.

If people want to roleplay maniac pirates, they can. The bounty system is in place to punish those, if you want them to get banned then you're playing the wrong game.

Simple stuff really. People who cry "grief" are just upset they're getting rek'd. If no one is cheating or abusing a system then it's legitimite.

Frontier are not "encouraging" anything, they've set the foundation of the game and it's up to players to choose what path to take.. there is offline play available if you simply can't handle the online universe.

i just saw in broadcast... FDL request PVP with cutter

FDL interdicted the cutter, FDL no shields with 77% hull at the start, dropped 1 ring of shields on the cutter before he hit the SCB's

broadcast was in the cutters cockpit.

anyways, 3 of the cutters wing mates came in trying to kill the FDL, got it down to 66% then it left.

FDL won that battle, the cutter could not even get a lock on LOL LMAO !
