Fer-de-Lance vs Vulture for HRES?

Which ship would you suggest for HRES sites?

Also, Fer-de-Lance, Vulture, or Python for Conflict zones?

For bounty hunting I would take the Python, for conflict zones I would take the FDL.

I have a maxed FDL in my garage, it works great for bounty hunting. However it performs even better for undermining and conflict zones. Also great for wings.

I bought the Python 3 times, and it's a heavy tank. It's perfect for bounty hunting, undermining, conlfict zones. It also has more firepower than the FDL so I would take the Python if I want to destroy an enemy fast.

The FDL is more agile though, and it will be getting more huge hardpoint selections in the following update. The large multicannon will help the Python greatly as well.

I tend to use the FdL for both. FdL with be-weaves is nice. Oh, and once 2.1 hits.... that huge underneath hardpoint is going to see more varied use.

Vulture will allow you to outplay any other ships, making it the best ship for manoeuvering and outflanking ennemies ships his U turn ability are only seconds go the eagle, for its price ( nearly 5 M Credits ) you'll get a decent heavy fighter, when well outffited ( nearly 10-15 M credits ) you'll get a killing machine nothing can stand in your way, conda's fear you because they can never have you in their sight, and your weaponary is more than enought ( 2 Large hardpoint), vulture is clearly the best ship if you are looking for cheap budget, ultra long BH session in a RES,

FDL is better used in undermining, also for python, well python is a multi task ship that actually perform well in most of the things you can do in space, good trader with 200+ cargo , can go on outpost, godly placed hardpoint , excellent miner, decent shield and hull, decent FSD, its agility isn't as great as a FDL, but it do its job.

as a resume : for bounty hunting => Vulture & FDL ( vulture if on a budget or if you like to not take any risk even vs a conda )

undermining => FDL ( vulture can do it too but you'll end up in trouble if a wing got their eyes on you )

CZ => FDL & Python, imo both got their strengh and weakness revealed in a CZ your best hope is to try them both so you'll see which one fit you more.

I would go for Vulture. It's cheaper and with 2x fixed beams it beats everything.
Once the huge beam lasers come out, FDL might be a better choice.

Mmmm, Huge Beam Laser....let's just hope that there will be some handy engineer hidden away that can help us upgrade our power sysems...

Vulture is not my choice of CZ ship, it compromises too much in order to be a good CZ ship due to the strong hulls. Whereas Python and FDL could blast through it with sheer power.

I'm not too fussed at FDL getting huge beams.... the 4PA is awesome in undermining and rez zone. Vulture is a poor man's FDL. Great ship, very cheap. FDL is better but certainly not worth the 50 mil or so in price difference between the two at stock price.

^^ This, I am waiting on the edge of my seat for 2.1 I can't wait to load beams and H Multi cannons on my Corvette.

Likewise FDL 1 H MC and 4M pulse. Going to do wonders even if it is fixed. OR 2Beams 2m MC and 1 H MC. Just use beams to shred shields and kinetic the power plant in 5 seconds.


To the original question Python of RES, (More dps and internals) and FDL for Conflict Zones(Better shields and good opening dps)

i recently looked for an update to my vulture myself.
phyton's output is ok but movement is awful
FDL is fast but but sometimes turns to slow
FAS is nice in turning rate but arkward with hardpoint positioning, FAS is my fav of them
