What's Your Callsign?
Anybody notice that the Orbitals' Voice-Over Comm Chatter gives you a callsign? In my case, having only one CMDR name (Shredz) apparently it's using the Manufacturer of your ship, followed by the first three letters of your CMDR name.

Thus, when bouncing around the bubble in my Asp, my callsign is Lakon Sierra-Hotel-Romeo. Curious to hear other folks' experience of this!

I always wondered where they got the "call sign" from. I was repeating the letters in my head and it didn't make sense but now I know. Generally "Lakon Alpha November Tango"
Papa Alpha Uniform
Alpha November Alpha
Delacy/Core Dynamics Mike Alpha Romeo (Heavy)
"DeLacey, November-Echo-Romeo, this is Station Flight Control. We're pleased to have you back in our station, Commander. Unfortunately, you forgot to request docking permission, and though you're a well known allied of this station, and you're about to deliver 300 tons of medicines we desperately need, we're going to blow your ship anyway, unless you turn around your barely maneuverable cargo ship in less than 90 seconds."

"On the flip side, we'd like to remind you that once you have requested docking permission, you can fly into the station at ramming speed, bump into every single ship inside this federal station, and all you'll get is a passive-agressive reminder of our speed limits delivered in a mildly dispproving tone, and maybe a 400cr fine. Safe flights, CMDR".

You do know of a thing called "reversing," right?

Yeah, but apparently in 3303 we have forgotten a long lost ancient technology called "Rear View Mirrors".

Actually, my favorite SFC fail would be "DeLacey, November,-Echo-Romeo, this is SFC. We've noticed you're trying to dock in the pad while upside-down, but what we're really, REALLY concerned about is that you're doing so with your landing gear retracted. Please deploy your landing gear inmediately".
