That's just the nearby Nebulas. I'd like to find a similar map showing where all the blackholes that have been discovered so far. And I do mean "nearby". My Near Death Experience thread is what happened to me last night out near the Lagoon Nebula (top of your picture).

Great map indeed, it's nice to have when planning exploration journeys to the local nebulae :)

Far? I laugh at your definition of far :D

In all honesty though, it's not THAT far. Most stuff wouldn't take more than a day or two to reach in an exploration-fitted Asp or DBX. So as long as you don't mind travelling a bit, it's well worth it. Some of the views out in the nearby nebulae are simply breathtaking. (the region between Barnards Loop, the Orion nebula and the Horsehead nebula in particular)

Yeah I really need an exploration ship, every trip are pretty far for me when I travel with my vulture, obviously the ship jump range has never been made for travel. Gathering money for my exploration ship right now ^^.

If you look closely enough when your in shipyard, you will notice that the range never matches what you actually can achieve with each ship, so just make sure you have outfitted with good modules and looked at the guides in order to establish what you can and can't achieve!

Good exploration ship and always will be, is the Asp Exporer!

Good Luck CMDR

With an exploration fitted Asp (30+ly jump range) you make 2000ly within 1 hour.
Julius Sebastus 30 ABR 2016 a las 10:07
Thanks for the tips guys. I will start gathering cash toward that ship ^^.

For 20 MCr you get a decent Exploration outfit (using the discounts):

This is my Asp for the Distant Worlds Expedition I'm currently flying. Still 48k ly from Sol heading back. :B1:

What do you mean by discount? Thank you for your time btw guys.

DBX' tend to get even cheaper, this build is ~8 mill with discounts for instance[coriolis.io], but they lack some module space in comparison with Asps though, so you won't be able to bring either an AFMU or SRV bay (if you have Horizons). Diamondbacks run at ridiculously low temperatures though, you pretty much have to ram a star head on and stay a while in the dropout zone to overheat it...
If you want an Asp though, then here's a pretty cheap build at ~13 mill.[coriolis.io]

Some stations have discounts available for ships and modules. Any station under control by Li Yong-Rui for instance has 15% discount on all ships and modules for sale. For a list of all active discounts, see this thread.[forums.frontier.co.uk]

The route towards Crab Nebula is quite amazing, almost at Monkey Head myself. It is really straightforward to go also, I did California, Witch Head, Orion +Bernard's loop area, cone nebula, seagul nebula, rosette, jellyfish, monkey head, and crab :D
