How do I get the Sol permit? Specifically?
Im really confused on how to get system permits. I googled this multiple times, but no one seems to mention how/where to find a "rank" mission rather than a "reputation" mission. I need a crystal clear, step by step guide on how to unlock the Sol permit, or any permit for that matter

You need to do missions for Federation aligned factions. This builds rep and rank with them. Do enough of them, they'll offer you a mission to obtain an honorary Navy rank. You need Petty Officer, the 4th rank

I have only ever seen Reputation building missions though. Do I need to find them in specific star systems held by the feds?

do missions for factions that have a Federation logo. the better your rep with the local faction the better it pays. you need "friendly" or better to get a rank progression mission when you jit 100% on your rank bar.

Then you've already found the missions. Any mission off the board with a Fed logo on it counts.

Do systems that say, "Allegiance: Federation" count as star systems where I can get rank missions? Because im going to a station that says, "Controlling Faction: Lushertha Silver General IND" And the allegiance is federation.

as long as the FACTION has allegiance to the feds it doesnt matter if it controlls the system....although in systems where the feds control you're likely to find more factions at a station you can get missions from. there can be 4-5 fed-allied factions in one station.

Yes. 4th rank shouldn't take too long. Rear Admiral for the Corvette though? Prepare for weeks of work at least

Don't worry about neutral/friendly/allied, worry more about minor faction rep...should be at least cordial before they offer it

So i have to keep increasing my reputation with one specific station? Or is my superpower rep being at cordial enough?
