SOL - Triton Moon - Red Ring?
In System Map the other planets that can be landed upon have a blue ring but the ring around the Triton moon has a red ring. What does the red ring mean?

That it absorbs the blue spectrum of light?..

Pretty sure it means that landing there requires a permit.

More than just the SOL permit? I landed on Mercury which has a blue ring.

Ah, that "ring". It sounded like a ring of asteroids. :)

That red circle permit might mean that there is an engineer from whom you still don't have an invitation. So you are not allowed to land on that planet.

You can still land on planets with engineers. You just can't dock at their stations.
The red ring is permit required.

I checked it again and yes, it say it requires a permit to land.

There are three worlds in-game that currently have a planetary landing permit requirement: Triton (Sol), Lave 2 and Diso 5c. No-one knows how to obtain any of these permits. Lave 2 is apparently locked for lore reasons (something about one of Drew Wagar's stories, I'm told - something to do with the family of the former dictators of Lave), the other two we have no idea.

I would also assume that once atmospheric landings become a thing, we'll then see a whole bunch more landing permit planets added to the game. On that basis, I would also assume that the current permit-locked planets are merely a "test" of the concept and we will see ways to obtain at least some of these permits once atmospheric landings arrive.
