Will This Work With Keyboard and Controller?

I don't want to buy a joystick before I know if I'll enjoy the game or not. I used a 360 controller and the keyboard for games like ETS2 and American Truck Sim and it worked pretty well. Will this work as a decent combo for Elite, too?

I've only ever used keyboard and mouse, it's fine. It's on xbox and ps4 too, so controller works too.

i use keyboard and controller just fine. I think my settings are mostly default.

just about any mix of controls work, KB+M , Vr motion controllers , xbox, controls, hotas, and a mix of any of the above. and more ofc.

Indeed, tbh i can't remember ever having seen a game that have the same amount of support for controllers. (there might be one semi-obscure simulator where people have built entire (also analog) setups for it however =)

this game has excellent support for keybindings so you should be fine with just about any setup as long as you rebind the controls as you see fit

use just the controller, with voice attack for any extra keys.

keyboard works just fine. Just remember you might hv to bind alot of keys yourself.

K+M netted me better results than logitech 3D extreme did!

I personally use mouse for dog fighting and num pad keys for typical flight/ taking off, landing.

You need to figure out dog fighting maneuvers yourself, maybe with a help of youtube vid, but K+M was somehow easier and made me a better fighter pilot
