100% Allied and still low paying courier jobs.
I had the impression that once you get into a good standing with either the Federation or the Empire you'd start getting better paying more complicated jobs from them and the sub-factions from the space stations you frequent aswell as the chance to rank up in their navies to aquire the faction specific ships, despite being at 100% with the Federation and the controlling faction at my most frequented space stations all they're still offering is boom data delivery ♥♥♥♥ and data recovery at rates less than a 100,000.

What gives?

Where? Location can be a factor as well as what state the system factions are in. Some of the highest paying missions I've found are out on the border regions of the bubble and involve travel distance of 50+ ly, generally involving bulk cargo transit, illicit jobs or combat missions. Data delivery missions are kind of a way to build rep to get to those type of missions.

Factions in Boom state also offer more money. Bust or lockdown will slam the door shut on profits till the state gets changed.

i think its a combinstion of rank, rep, and trader status. its not JUST your local rep. but you do need it.

Allied with the Federation is not the same as being allied with a faction at a station. I started getting better missions when I became allied with the controlling faction where I was. After that I started getting 500k and higher missions.

Also, you may want to move to another system if this doesn't work. Some places seem to be a lot better than others. Sothis / Ceos for example.

This, very much this! Stay at the same star system. Do missions at local stations and always return for more, don't go roaming. And your local factions rank will grow. You might want to raise it with every local faction, so each one will offer you good missions (many - to the same destination, too, so you can pick several at once). I would advice you not to kill local pirates, if they interdict you - just boost away. Of course, killing will give you fast money now, but it also reduces your rank with the local pirates faction, and you will lose in the long run, cause pirates often give high paid smuggling missions.

As Turd F stated, what actual trader/explorer/combat rank are you?

And what are the general ranks of the missions available?

Have you tried moving to the next system over to see what missions are available there to do a comparison?

What you have to understand is the pay is not primarily based on the reputation as much as for the job, itself. A system in the bubble with lots of near stars will not pay a lot of money to ship stuff 6 light years, vs 66 light years.

I suggest you go to the outside edge of the bubble or somewhere in the bubble where the stars are farther apart.
