Dealing with Chaff
Wouldn't it be great if there was a key binding available to actually just untarget everything? So I can use it when chaff renders my targetting useless?

You know, so I can actually deal with chaff without accidentally targetting cops or other wings of pirates (by using my only option, the "target what's in front button".)
Has anybody found a way around this yet? It's becoming very annoying.

I just use target ahead while not pointing at anything.

Cool, how do you detarget when you are pointing at something? And should it be necessary to change your vector before you can untarget something? Or should there be a KEYBIND to give the same effect? :)

Using both to be honest, it's a problem with both.

There is a button like that... its called "target next system in route" its under targeting. I bound it to Zero button :)

Another thing you could do is make a group with just youre scanner on second mouse button and switch to that with N key the shooting will stop then then switch back to main group after chaff is over :D I do that all the time

I just turn my nose away for a split second. Doesn't break The flow of combat in a big ship where you tend to get out turned a little. In a small ship I tend to use fixed
