What weapon loadout for a new Vulture owner?
So I finally got my Vulture. This thing is amazing with its handling!

However, not sure what kind of weapons loadout I should have.

At the moment I'm running a couple of 3E burst lasers, but is there something better I should be running?

Ty!

Yeah, a FAS.

Seriously now, I used a cannon and a laser.

Dual large pulses are often cited as the simplest way to go.

Some people run with a single beam and then a kinetic in the second hardpoint.

I used to run with dual beams, managable by using tight power management and a bi-weave shield. Really enjoyed that configuration. No room for a shield cell bank on that build, but didn't really need it.

Ok, thanks. Will have a look around!

I run a large beam and large multicannon and love it!!

Would 1 burst laser and a 1 fragment cannon be a good loadout? What are fragment cannons like? They seem to do a ton of damage per second.

With some engineers funk you could probably get away with it these days; souped up pp weapons focused pd and efficient beams, prob have enough juice spare for efficient Shields and a shield cell maybe?

By far the most fun way to fly a Vulture is with the 2 biggest Beam lasers you can fit!

This is how it works.

4 pips to weapons, you will melt the shields off any ship before you drain your weapons cap, if its a small/low rank ship you'll kill it before this point in fact!

If it's a tougher ship you then get into a great game called "who melts first" Where you keep firing your beams till you can't take the heat any more! Hoping to melt your enemy. This is really fun and you are almost always the victor! If you get past 150-200% heat (depending how hot you like it!) then you can always pop a heat sink!

Most ships pop soooo fast with this, with big ships just target the power plant and you kill that quick then you can sit back, wait for your wep cap to recharge and then melt the sitting duck till it's crispy peeking duck style!

Oh and if you have Horizons then a weapons focused power dist......oooooooooooooo

Gimballed or fixed Beam lasers?
Arya Sep 14, 2016 @ 6:02am
Depends on your flying skills. Gimballed for a rookie, Fixed if you're a top gun or you're exclusively hunting big targets.

I find gimballs more than make up for the DPS drop by being able to hit far longer, and target modules far better than I can with my eyes.

For my two cents, Gimbals because of OP's relative lack of experience. They're still fairly new, they may as well learn to walk before they try to run.

True but gimbals can teach bad habits, best to try with both as being ok with fixed helps a lot.

Yeah might stick with gimbals right now. Gotta new prob, somehow shot a security ship when taking down a pirate and have a 400cr bounty (lol). Can I pay it off? It has a 7min timer, when that counts down should I go back to the system that I have the bounty in and pay it off at a station? Or will I get blown to bits lol.

Don't want to die as I have TONS of bounties to redeem and I'll lose em if I do die :(

leave the system, wait the timer out, go back to system then you can pay it.
