Yeah, a FAS.
Seriously now, I used a cannon and a laser.
Some people run with a single beam and then a kinetic in the second hardpoint.
I used to run with dual beams, managable by using tight power management and a bi-weave shield. Really enjoyed that configuration. No room for a shield cell bank on that build, but didn't really need it.
With some engineers funk you could probably get away with it these days; souped up pp weapons focused pd and efficient beams, prob have enough juice spare for efficient Shields and a shield cell maybe?
This is how it works.
4 pips to weapons, you will melt the shields off any ship before you drain your weapons cap, if its a small/low rank ship you'll kill it before this point in fact!
If it's a tougher ship you then get into a great game called "who melts first" Where you keep firing your beams till you can't take the heat any more! Hoping to melt your enemy. This is really fun and you are almost always the victor! If you get past 150-200% heat (depending how hot you like it!) then you can always pop a heat sink!
Most ships pop soooo fast with this, with big ships just target the power plant and you kill that quick then you can sit back, wait for your wep cap to recharge and then melt the sitting duck till it's crispy peeking duck style!
Oh and if you have Horizons then a weapons focused power dist......oooooooooooooo
True but gimbals can teach bad habits, best to try with both as being ok with fixed helps a lot.
Don't want to die as I have TONS of bounties to redeem and I'll lose em if I do die :(
leave the system, wait the timer out, go back to system then you can pay it.
