How do the servers work? Is it one big one or multiple?

Ive been wondering because I never run into anyone while im playing unless im creating a wingman group.

It's peer 2 peer networking. We're all in the same game, separated by multiple instances of the same world by our connection to each other, geographical location, and a soft player cap of around 32 people per instance.

The game world is also so large, finding people outside of a community goal or a few other 'hubs' is rare.

Thank you for the explanation. Im always on high alert when entering sectors! Now i can take it easy. For some glitch reason though federal agents have been fighting me. Ive paid all my bounties and tickets. Ended up leaving a faction i was in and they stopped so now im scared on which faction to even join lol

Agents? Yeah that's powerplay for you. If you pledge to a power you will be hunted down in every square inch of space. It's a dumpster fire of a gameplay style and best avoided

Its actually hybrid. Mainly P2P with servers handling transactions and stuff.
