Alpha Centauri and Proxima?

Hey guys, was wondering why you can't frameshift directly to Proxima, or even between proxima and alpha centauri? Anyone know why

may as well go cook myself some dinner whilst I wait to supercruise between Alpha and Proxima to get to Hutton Outpost or something for £39k :| (*yeah, thanks devs! - if you read this, PLEASE enable hyper for this kind of thing, or even better add in some kind of travel lane/gate system like from Freelancer)

Hutton is famous for the long cruise. It's one of the longest if not THE longest in the game. Make sure you buy some mugs when you're out there....they're rares you can sell for additional money.

in the comodities shop you'll see souvenir mugs or something like that. You'll only be able to buy a few at a time but keep coming back every 10 minutes and you can fill up. Look at the "buy" price and the "galactic average" price and see if you want to do it. You can also use eddb.io to find the station that will pay the most of them.

Thanks for this Turd F, at least i can make it a worthwhile journey and its a bit more interesting than normal. I headed to Promixa on purpose since day 1 bying the game and Im finally here haha

No you don't need Horizons, the mugs are a rare commodity which follow specific rules for trading.

Currently you can only jump to the main star on the system entry, there are plans for a faster in system travel to other stars like micro jumps but there's nothing specific as of yet. I suggest to always check the system map of your potential desitnation before you go there to see how close the destination you want to go to is away from the main star.

Yeah i used to check the system map all the time but I gave up in end. Also i think since update (i havent been playing for several months) I cant see the little option to go direct to system map for missions i havent taken yet (or the current ones for that matter) anymore.

I would abslutely love the devs if they add the micro jump lanes between twinned systems etc. . In fact id think they were that great Id probably buy Horizons and go leave a top notch review for this game.

Anyway only 0.16ly to go weeyhey

a quicker solution/workaround would be if devs just put the distance of the outpost in the mission brief like where they have the distance to the system itself. Im sure they used to have it and its been removed but may be wrong

We've all been fooled by that mission once. It's not called the Hutton Mug solely because it keeps your drink warm. ;)
