I though the FAS was going to be my main combat craft, but the Funship is so much... fun!
have just started getting decent amount of materials for certain upgrades. havent gotten that far.
Allthough i dont really like beam lasers based on past experience, they do good dmg allright but at 1,5-2 km distance they barely hit. unless that has changed in 2.1
I suppose you got alot of heat sinks ?
No. I have no heat issues. I can fire those babies non-stop without overheating. (well, they stop to reload, but can't help that unless i go for the auto-reload mod).
What are you flying? Are you flying a ship that is prone to heat problems?
Is the fun ship a Federal Gunship? Lol
I have won special effects naturally, but mainly i was burning reputation to force the engineer to make the mod i wanted.
Yes, but from now on, you should only refer to it as the funship.
The Federal Gu-- Funship, yessir o7 CMDR!!! :D
But i know why...See i compare this to 3 large pulse, with 4 pips to weapons shooting pulse lasers will empty my distributor before i even reach 80% heat. that dosnt happen with MC...distributor dosnt even move, so empty 3 clips on 3 large MC with Incendiary Rounds takes me to around 122% heat. But shields and powerplants on ships die long before that happens :P
It might be a combination of ship (some ships are more sensitive to heat it seems to me), heat generating engineer mods (do you pay attention to mods which add heat? You might be running hotter than normal as it is), and of course your weapons on top.
