Vulture is good but if you have the rank and the money go for a Federal Assault Ship. It's like a Vulture on steroids. It's a blast in any type of RES site.
If you are on a budget the Viper is fine. I prefer the Eagle myself, it's dirt cheap so it doesn't break the bank when you die. It's also super agile. A lot depends on how much you have to spend.
why the 4? go with the 3 for combat.
Personally I'm not a big FAS fan...hardpoint placement is pretty terrible. But as every ship performs differently, ultimately only you can judge what you prefer to fly.
One more selling point for Viper MK IV--best boost-noise ever!
Dropship is a long-running joke. It's a cargo boat, not a fighter.
Don't get me wrong, it's a very rugged ship. But it handles like a dead cow, is lightly armed for it's size, and can't really take on anything in a fight.
As for the Federal Assault Ship, I doubt you could afford one if you're still flying a Viper. They're well over 60 million with a working fit, they can go past 100 million.
