Cox communications has us blocked out of Elite. (resolved)
Updated the title.... anyone using Cox and cant play needs to call them.... You cant even get on the Frontier support website if you are using Cox.

The launcher window says that server status is OK and it shows me as being logged on. But when I start the game I get past the preparing shaders part and then it gets stuck at logging in.... then I get the failed to communicate bit.

Anyone else having any issues?

Are you using Cox as your ISP by any chance? I can log in if I use my phone as a hotspot but not through Cox. Just now figured that out.

This happened a few months back and took forever to get them to understand it was on their end.

I will call them and so should everyone with the issue. It took multiple phone calls and hours last time.

Even after they fixed it the wouldn’t admit they did it.

Time to get on the phone. Sigh.

Nothing to do with net Neutrality. And it isn’t intentional as far as I can tell. It’s some auto security thing. Well that’s my assumption from last time.

i was just told that the situation could not be escalated and that all they can do is log the event. if enough logs are made then they can look into it. 60 dollars for a game i cant play? no. this ill not happen

Got off the phone with them. They say they have some ♥♥♥♥ blocked for our protection and that maybe the game falls in that category, the only way around it is port forwarding through a third party, according to them. Call quality is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ where I live so I didn't hear her clearly 100%.
