Just became elite in trade (stupid easy). Is this founders world worth a look?

You can get any module or ship in existence there (rank restrictions apply).

And there is a 10% discount on the above.

And you will get ganked if you play in Open.

outfitting a ship at Jamesons is a lot easier.

there's also an engineer in the system.

Good to know about the open part. Li yong-rui sells for 15% off though. Being elite also cuts prices by 5% everywhere including his stations right?

That's news to me re: the Elite discount. I'm Elite in combat but when I got it did not think to check prices.

Edit: Just to add, Li Yong-Rui stations have a great selection of stuff.
But being able to buy literally ANYTHING that exists in the game in one station is a massive, genuine advantage.

Jameson's is the ultimate one stop shop station.

My info is maybe 8 months old so idk if thats correct. Pretty sure someone said anyone with elite status gets a discount. But of course any clarification would be good.

Yep, but is there a discount everywhere for just being Elite rank in something, was the question :)

After checking at the station I'm docked in, station prices vs those listed on the wiki, it would appear my prices are 2.5% lower than wiki prices.

Whether that's because of preorder bonuses or because of elite status, I can't tell.

I got Elite and moved all my ships there. You can get everything standard without traveling and 10% vs 15% doesn't mean much to me. Because many others are there you can enjoy some player chatter and some times see players duel to 25% hull just outside. When I am changing my ship for exploration or something I switch to solo so I don't hog landing pads and when I want to pull the Beluga in or out I'm in solo so others don't have to wait.

It could also be related to the station's status, say, High Tech in Boom. I remember reading about some extra discounts.

It is the best way to go, because you can outfit it right there, you don't have to source this and that and make several hops and internet searches to equip your ship with what you want because everything is right there at Founders World.

I'd rather save 10% and get it done now in one spot than save 15%, and have to go elsewhere for the powerplant, distributer, etc, that I want.

It's a matter of preferences, of course. But with big and expensive ships those extra 5% can easily mean extra 30 Mils to spend. Jumping to one extra star system to finish the upgrades would take much less of time than to recover the money. And you don't usually buy new ships that often, that an extra 5 mins to spend on outfitting would mean so much.

As was said, it's one stop shopping with a 10% discount. As for PvPers hunting you, I've been to the system a score of times, mostly in a Sidey I use as a scooter, and I've been interdicted once. And that was heading to the engineer there in my new T10 by some Bug loving traitor to humanity.

The carebears see gankers behind every speck of space dust. You need at least one Elite rank to get into the system so gankers tend to avoid the place since they prey on the defenseless.
