I'm planning on my first trip out and want to make sure my calculations are correct. I'm looking at 8,886 LY for my destination. Not sure if I'm doing this right but, I divided 8,886 by 500 rounded up and got 18 jumps. For and average carrier, what is it about 125 tons per jump. So, I'm looking at 2,250 tons of Tritium one way? If a carrier is fully loaded how much Tritium does she burn per jump? The area I'm heading first, I can mine Tritium but will load up 4,500 tons before leaving, to be on the safe side.

I had my carrier fully loaded and used about 5000 t to get to Colonia with 100t left at the end. 130 per jump.

Thank you very much! Gives me a rough idea what I'm looking at to make it back or just go to Colonia. When I had to do some bounty hunting in Colonia to unlock a engineer, seems like it was paying better. Not sure yet where I want to go to offload my cargo.

How does one get to the Bridge on your carrier?

Edit: Never explored a nebula yet. Want to do that now and explore a whole bunch of nebula's could be gone for awhile or come back just to offload and back out again.

Edit: Learning everyday. Didn't know I could move my carrier to any planet close to a station I'm at. I guess as long as the systems is explored and there is an opening. The carrier will be right close to offload what I have from where your at and load up Tritium for the trip back to the carrier.

I will either fly to the system first in my longest-range ship, then program the carrier straight to the destination planet, or I'll jump in-system after arrival (doesn't use much fuel)

Update 10 next major update is when it is planned. You can external cam peek into them right now but the bridge is not implemented yet.

Thanks Sighman. I've jumped twice now, on the way to the system I explored 2 months ago. Was having trouble following the map with Odyssey and Switched to Horizons and all is good. Funny I can plot with my Anaconda all the way to Colonia but, with the Carrier only up to 500ly. All is good, when I get back online will continue jumping and exploring till I hit the system I found. Watching season 6, 2022 of The Expanse on Amazon now :)

Our humble carrier consumes only 68 per jump, and we don't have the shipyard, only cartographics and advanced maintenance.

Eh, I went with the Cartographics as well. I like exploring and will help with the weekly costs for the carrier.

3rd jump. Too bad I have to use Horizons to get to my destination. Graphics in Odyssey way better.

Carrier can only plot 500 ly at a time. I don't understand why you're using Horizons though? Do you mean you can't plot a route to Colonia in Odyssey in your Conda? If so, change from Economical route plotting (which is set by default.)

The system I'm going to is 9000 ly from the bubble. I have it saved but won't let me plot so I can't follow the route for the carrier to take. I can do it with Horizons. Believe me, I don't like using Horizons, it's like stepping backward in time... 14 more jumps to go after this one. I'm exploring at each jump.

You can definitely plot that in Odyssey, but not until you switch from Economical route plotting in the galmap.

Also exploring in Odyssey is ten times better. Atmo planets and first footfalls, for a start.

I only explore in Odyssey. I'm only using Horizons to plot my route every 500 since Odyssey isn't letting me do it right now. I had no issues before when I went to Colonia 2 months ago. 2 months ago I have many first footfall and complete systems scans that no one has hit. The system I'm going to is found by me and has good amount of pristine ringed planets to mine and one icy one for the fuel. Will explore all surrounding areas as well. When I got back from Colonia I had like 24 pages of systems all found by me and has my fathers name on it. :) RIP Dad.

That spansh site I linked to earlier will plot your route all the way there too, with each jump.

Sounds like a plan - maybe once I reach Colonia. (I'm taking in every megaship on the Colonia Bridge this time, as they weren't all built last time I travelled this way - plus I was in the carrier on the main account that time.)
