Pirate Massacre Missions - Odyssey 2022

To find "Pirate massacre missions"
I have been using the tool found on:

I have not been able to find a single "pirate massacre mission" and I have been visiting 12+ systems on the list.
What are the criteria for pirate massacre missions? I have not found any despite people on the forums, steam forums, and reddit stating that it is a valid way to make money.

Do they exist in Odyssey? Or was this just something that people did in Horizons?
When I visit stations I see alot of "Kill (Faction name) ships" missions, but no pirate ones and no "Massacre" ones.

I appreciate any help anyone can provide.

I just found out that:
Pirate massacre missions are in HORIZONS ONLY ------ They are NOT in Odyssey.
So if you want to do meaningful combat and have it worth your while, it is NOT worth you playing within Odyssey.

This game is dumb that it takes away features.

dock, disembark and then go on foot to a terminal: there you will find "on foot" missions. Massacres are up there near the top, under "combat" panel.

Those are not pirate massacre missions, which are ship to ship combat

The pirate massacre missions are very much still there in Odyssey. They don't always use the word "massacre", I don't think, but still pretty much look like the Horizons ones.

Are you going to places where there are wars on? Those spawn a lot of "Kill (faction name) ships" and point you to conflict zones. So much so that the pirate missions can get completely subsumed. Tend to see quite a few "deserter" missions there as well

Nope. I have just spent the last 2 hours riding around trying to find them using these 3rd party tools and areas that people mention on various forums of where massacre missions are and they do not exist in odyssey.

"Massacre" Pirate missions are NOT in Odyssey, I just switched to Horizons, at the station that I am at that Is on the list and it shows up with a ton of "Massacre" pirate missions, where as in Odyssey it does not. Odyssey seems to have removed the missions from the pools.

Odyssey is dumb, you cannot stack "kill missions"

Sorry, but I have stacked loads of pirate missions in Odyssey. They most definitely ARE there.

They don't overlap with Horizons (that is to say, if you take a mission in Odyssey and switch to Horizons it won't be on your transactions list, and vice versa), but that's it. I have made at least a couple of billion in pirate missions playing in Odyssey

I have yet to see a single "Massacre (faction name) pirates" mission for ship - to ship combat in odyssey.

This also includes any videos I have seen, which all seem to show the horizons interface.
Perhaps you can share a screenshot of your mission board in odyssey with one displayed, because I see none, and I have visited the same two stations, and switched to horzions on both, and both have had "Massacre (Faction name) pirates" missions in Horizons, however in Odyssey, they do not.

Oh it's not called massacre anymore.
I think it's "Kill HIP 35096 Cartel Pirates" as an example. Kill [faction] pirates. I do mine in Njemari, the station gives pirate kill missions to HIP 35096, Bruth, and other systems. Njemari has a few wars right now so the pirate kills dry up.
I mostly do Assassinate Pirate missions for Biotech Conductor and Exquisite Focus Crystals. It's very ripe with Black Box Salvage - easy materials and all you need is collectors and cargo room, 16-32 tons.

So the "kill" missions are equivalent to the "Massacre" missions in horizons?
Do they stack? Such as when you kill on e ship does it count in multiple?

Yep, they totally stack still. Clearly my "don't always use the word massacre" is actually "never use the word massacre" but still...

And yes, when there's a war on these dry up quite a bit to make room for the conflict zone ones, but if there's an offer to kill pirates you're good to go

There have been a few bugs highlighted when doing these missions in Odyssey, which can get you into trouble. I haven't seen any mention that those bugs have been fixed, so my advice is to do them in Horizons.

The only one I can think of is the hostiles not being indicated (i.e. not turning red), which has now been fixed. I haven't experienced any others

You also have to rep up (become allied) with the mission givers if you want the 40m rewards per mission instead of 5 or 6m.

These missions "stack" only if they are from different factions. Has always been the case.


E.g.
Faction 1 gives 2 massacre missions for 50, 50 each. You need to kill 100.
Faction 1 gives mission for 50, Faction 2 gives mission for 50. You need to kill 50.
