Elite Dangerous
Where to need to be with afk-type-10?
Wanna relax out of the game, but someway earn money (pirate musacure is dumb, now it has 3 or more NON-pirate ships, wtf why?!). Which system have potential to it now?

I dont ask about build, thanks, only systems with missions.

Dont send Hawkes vid, please.

What's the point of playing a game if you're not gonna play the game?

Im kinda tired, and already jump to Colonia, SMBH and back twice (nearly die from neutron).
As said - mission are wierd, it now has less ship for mission itself (instead 10-12 only 6-7), some of them "ally" who barely wanna attack anyone. Grind in this game is stupid and not fun, so, wanna chill in other games or irl (no because of lockdown).

AFK boats aren't even working right now, sometimes hostile targets aren't showing hostile even while shooting you so turrets won't fire back.

But if it was working, you'd want any Low RES in a system that has some kind of bounty premium to it; Yuri Grom control systems pay extra for bounties, iirc, and some factions (EG Union) pay extra, like 20%? Depending on power play rank I believe Hudson or Antal also increase bounty payout.

Nice (no) joke.

That was meant to be fixed with the recent hotfix.
The hostile targets bug is fixed I think, but I don't know if they changed the 'hello, this is a deadly pirate in a high-end ship just passing through a Low RES site' feature which appeared around update 8 or 9.

If they haven't AFK is not going to work any more.

I think you have probably misunderstood something.

Pirate massacre missions have associated mission-spawned NPCs that will try to interdict you on the way to the targets. Either if they announce themselves in the comms or they interdict you and you run away back into supercruise, they'll drop out of supercruise a few seconds after you wherever you drop out. They're always fighting ships that scale to your rank and the size of your ship, and they are normally quite tough opponents unless you have an alpha fighting ship.

If one of these NPCs announces itself in the comms, it will drop out in the low RES a few seconds after you do, then it will start attacking. That's how you get an Elite high end ship in a low RES.

If one interdicts you, always run away so that you can deal with it in the low RES, where the police will help you. If you have Elite rank and are using a big ship, they will be Elite too -typically in an FDL or Anaconda, though sometimes T10 and sometimes in a wing. They often have SCBs, which can make a long battle that can be shortened by ramming them when their shields are low to knock out their shields before they get a chance to use an SCB,

I know what you mean, but I have over 5500 hours in Elite and I guarantee these deadly NPCs weren't part of the mission 'extras'.

They repeatedly and randomly spawned, and they didn't attack me - which they would have done if they were mission targets. They just scanned me and moved on, or started fighting with system defence ships.

The reason AFK works is because people stuff 8-10 tons of valuables in the hold of their T10s. They get attacked by every pirate, and because pirates in Low RES tend to be anything up to competent (which are rare), it works.

Throw in some random Deadlys though and the whole thing falls apart.

Anyway, I raised the issue here on the forums when I first noticed it, and two AFK'ers I know of reported they could no longer visit Low RES sites with their honeypot builds. Note: completely unrelated to the 'enemies not turning red' bug.
I'm sure we'll hear about it if someone goes to the trouble of building an AFK T10, engineers it, and then discovers it no longer works in 2022.

Does it still work? Thinking of trying the game again and i guess i need a couple of easy billions to reanimate the air carrier.

The information halfly outdated, so, barely.

You don't need to tell me about bounty hunting nor what happens in a low RES. I'm one of the top 10 bounty hunters and have around 10,000 hrs in the game On top of that, I was one of the guys that invented AFK T10 builds, and I spent many 100s of hours experimenting and optimising until we had a practical solution.

In the last 2 years, I have never seen high rank ships in a low RES in Horizons apart from ones that followed me in.

There are some other circumstances where ships can hunt you down, like defecting in Powerplay, where the assassins do indeed scan you and go away with a comment about you being too strong for them Failed missions can also cause ships to come after you. I've not tested Odyssey because there were too many other weird problems in it. Were you playing Odyssey or Horizons?
