Just got my Anaconda
For a while I had been wondering what the appeal was for a large ship like the Anaconda I had assumed that it would be a big lumbering mass hard to control but curiosity got the better of me and I bought one and well I was pleasantly surprised at how well it handles and the options

I have started engineering my FSD and I was wondering if people had any tips on any other engineering to other systems that might help me (I am already going to get the guardian FSD booster) I just need some tips on engineering the other systems that would allow me to build mine to an explorer

Loving the ship thanks guys

FSD,Thrusters,Powerplant,Distributor,Sensors,Shields,Hull armor, Shield Boosters,etc... Honestly, I would Engineer everything that can be engineered. Make 99% of your modules A rated, except shields. That depends on what you're doing. Bi-waves usually for Exploring and PVE, sometimes for pvp depending on set up. Prismatics for PVP & PVE with shield Cells.

I'm setting it up solely for exploring I have done some engineering and I have my fsd range at 63 LY

My fsd is 6A increased fsd range stage 5 and mass manager experimental effect I'll be working on getting the guardian fsd booster see what jump range I get after putting that in

63 ly is plenty, especially if you're going to be using neutron stars as highway. I would still engineer power plant and distributor to max for heat efficiency, especially when scooping for fuel. I would also engineer thrusters, dirty drives and multiplier. It makes it that much more better when on planets or taking off planets.

Great advice thanks for that I have my fsd completed I'll work on the power plant and distribution and thrusters the 63 LY would probably be enough for me as my asp X I had it up to 55 and had great trips to Colonia and sag A

Clean drives would be your best choice for thrusters. -50% heat excellent for exploration and you gain some multiplier by +28%.

Dirty Drives are the fastest but create most heat, but you can add thermal spread to reduce it. but you gain a lot off top speed and overall ship handling.

Just focus on lightweight and heat efficiency
Easier to show, this is basically what my Krait Phantom looks like: https://edsy.org/#/L=FB00000H4C0S00,,CjwG05G_W0CjwG05G_W0EB200,9p300A8cG04J_W0AN8G03K_W0AdsG05J_W0AsOG03G_W0B4SG05K_W0BOmG03G_W0Bcg00,,522000Nc0034a001LU007Q4G03N_W00KU0005U006e4002jw00

I have the tech broker FSD so I'm getting 70ly in "current" state.

Power plant: class A, smallest you can fit while powering everything, low emissions + stripped. you want class A as they are the best heat efficient. Some people really push it to the limit, then overcharge it, but sacrifices a lot of integrity and is the only module you can't fix with the AFMU. Up to you what to do.
power dist: some people even put a 1D dist, is up to you if the extra jump is worth not able to boost ever.

good luck! o7

Yeah I have the tech broker fsd on my asp X and my krait phantom my anaconda can't use it but I will definitely take a look at your other modules I appreciate the help commander o7

Just having a look it's definitely a great build with good jump range I'll get some tips from that I appreciate it

The distributer doesn't allow for boosting was that intentional?

Anaconda is also a fantastic Platinum laser miner, two Med mining lasers have infinite use with 4 pips thanks to size 8 power distributor. Good jump range, good cargo, lots of limpets, and can defend itself if needed (though as a T9 trucker, I know how to not get attacked lol). That's what I use for all my mining needs when I don't have a good truck loop.

Really its quite good at everything, it is the plus size Python you want it to be.

Exploration, FSD range boost as the engineer effect and Mass Manager as the Experimental works on size 5 or larger FSD, size 4 and below wants fuel injection. I use an ASP Explorer for my bubble shuttle / explorer / engineer material farmer, as its easier for planetary landing and I love the Lakon glass-bubble cockpits, but I have no criticism of Anaconda explorers.

Yeah some people skimp on the distributor to save weight; not being able to boost is considered expendable since most time is spent jumping and Supercruise, where you can't boost anyway. I understand and respect the opinion but I keep a Wake scanner on my AspX for data so I need to boost to that 20km High Wake lol.

My Asp Explorer has been my vehicle of choice for a long time I have had some great exploring in that ship.

I just wanted to try out the anaconda because I have heard from a lot of people how much they like it

Yes, why would you need to boost? enjoy the view, also, on High G planets, pointing upwards and boosting is REALLY BAD and you'll probably crash... your best best is a slight incline and cruise to SC height.

As for bubble jumper, try this... You can even take a large gun to an engineer, something your Asp can't do.

The FSD is a double engineered increased range fast boot. its better overall as it increases the optimized mass. Yes you can buy them.

It works very well for collecting raw materials (via SRV), manufactured materials via USS's and data via ship and wake scans.

I have the double engineered fsd on my asp and my krait phantom

A diamond back explorer though I have never thought to try I might put that on my list of ships I want to build thanks for that

As for the distributor that's a fair comment if it's for exploration you most likely wouldn't need boost

over 74ly, on a small ship? hard to beat, especially as well equipped as it is.
