Oculus Quest 2 Help?
Can't find anything online how to get this game to work with the Quest 2 controllers, no option in the settings other than keyboard and mouse, I really wanna play it in VR but can only do so with Xbox One controller or Keyboard which is weird since they released a VR version on the Oculus store but didn't port the controller preset scheme to the main game for when its connected.

Get a flight stick, like everyone else.
Y'all are absolute brainlets, you know that? The motion controllers work just like an xbox controller, it doesn't have "motion" controls, but it still accepts them as input devices ffs.

Same way you do it in No Mans Sky VR but doesn't make sense I guess.

not like steam, google, and so many other places didn't already know everything about you already.
Still there is no reason to give your info to yet another company, especially the one known to leak your personal data all over the Internet.

Not using the Oculus isnt gonna magically delete your data off of Facebook if you already had a FB account.

yes but it prevents the collection of more data, and wanting a tiny bit of privacy is not a bad thing

I find it hilarious that people brigade so hard against facebook, yet all the tech companies take your data. Steam, Discord, Microsoft, all just as guilty as Facebook heck even Frontier probably take your data and sells it.

But yeah avoiding facebook really helps.

The difference is that they don't leak half a billion of that data to everybody and their dog on the Internet. The problem is not as much of giving your data to those companies (it is, but not to that extent), but that data being leaked.

It's possible to set up your VR controllers to work like a gamepad if that's what you're asking.

Oh? You're absolutely sure of this? Or you only say that because facebook is the only one who's been directly caught doing it? You're extremely naive if you think the others aren't doing the same.

So i tried to use Elite with my newly acquired Oculus Quest 2. It appears to have support for the touch controllers and lot's of user provided configuations but after activating, the controllers do nothing. All i can do is look around the hanger.

Elite doesn't officially support motion controllers, however they work in 3D VR on-foot.

Just so everyone knows and not that it matters for Elite Dangerous… but both my Oculus Quest 1 AND 2 controllers (the ones that came with my Quest headsets) work GREAT for the ships and ground vehicles in No Mans Sky. And other games as well.

I played on my Rift and now on Rift S. But I use a HOTAS with pedals and Voice Attack. There are just too many commands you'll eventually want to use that the Touch controllers can't handle. My advice? Don't waste your time trying to use Touch. It's just not worth it in the long run. BTW, I haven't bothered trying my Quest 2. I assume the game is much prettier with Rift.

I tried playing ED with motion controllers on Quest 2 but eventually gave up. You can try that by choosing the "Quest 2" scheme (or something like that) scheme in the options->controls. And while it is possible to play it with move controllers, it fails miserably on the galaxy screen, where you just can't perform basic operations. It is also very bad to navigate the ship with move controller joystick (not precise enough).

I ended up sitting on the couch with quest headset and putting the keyboard on my legs and mouse beside it. It works pretty well.
