It stumped me for about 30 mins though because I don't use a controller. I had not used my VR for year or so either. I bet your gear works though just wish I could help can't remember what I did.
Look under the Steam VR Settings think I fixed it there. Quest 2 works though there are several videos on using it with ED. Google it up.
Yeah, I have. Didn't have any success. Lots of commentary on the evils of Facebook and HOTA bindings assuming the game is actually working, but nothing that I could find that got the basic game functions to work.
I tried using Rift by attaching a cable from my PC to the headset, but then ED died with some kind of exception when launching.
I'll try looking at the settings in Steam VR to see if there is anything specific for Quest or Quest 2. There are a lot of 3rd party controller bindings for the Oculus controllers, but they didn't seem to help with the basic problem.
EDIT 1: Ok. It seems that you just have to use the keyboard to start the game, and once it puts you into the cockpit, you're off and running. Viewing the keyboard while wearing your oculus headset is a bit daunting, but it's doable.
Anyway, I am working on the training session, but my trigger didn't seem to work. I have no idea why...more experimenting will be required.
But I must say that flying around in space is pretty cool.
EDIT 2: Primary firing button now seems to work. I was able to destroy the first unpiloted ship during combat training. Mapping functions to the HOTAS One in an intuitive way is going to be imperative, and it looks like using the keyboard is still going to be a requirement for certain functions. Again, not ideal since you are wearing a headset at the time, but livable.
and I have a hotas T flight x 1
