What is the rest of your specs? Also have you tried this?
https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDangerous/comments/ngszgh/for_anyone_with_awful_fps_after_getting_odyssey/
Fdev NEVER stated what the quality of the gameplay would be, I.e. they NEVER stated that someone could play the game on Ultra getting 60fps out of a 10 year old machine.
Kind of like with CP2077, marketing demands that old consoles can run the the game that is supposed to be next gen = absolutely impossible job for the Devs
I was able to play it on a 10 year old CPU i7 3770 with a gtx1060 in beta, it was doable for sure. The only place I would I hit very low fps was on large military settlements with a lot of npc around, it would dip into the 25-30 fps. 45-55 fps on the concourse. 60 fps perfect in space with drops into the 50's when comming out of glide ect in 1080p.
I have an I7-8750 16gb ram and a gtz 1050 4gb I am fine in space and on a planet on my own the only place my system tanks is the combat zones
So space and planets on my own until my new PC is ready
They did? Where? Evidence of this claim?
Being that the game just came out a few days ago, give it a chance to get fixed . As to you believed they lied? Ok thats on you. If you ever believe in total what is "claimed" by a dev as regards a new release...well, that, again, is on you.
