Maglocks on crashed ships

I have a crashed ship with a maglock. I've tried cutting the damn thing half a dozen times with the arc cutter but I never seen able to open it. I only have one spot where I can cut but no matter how much I cut the thing won't release.

Make sure you cut both ways, I had to do it one way then the other to make sure i got the full cut

Ive had one that was like that, i cut at it from every angle and got a little progress each time. but in the end it was a little tiny spot that wouldnt cut and i couldnt get it open. Def a bug

I finally got one open and now I can't get anything out of it! How am I meant to pick stuff up?

Each container is a material you can pick up with the SRV, you just need to be close enough. Bit stupid though

These aren't containers though. They are under the maglocks on the ship?

I encountered something like that, and found that cutting from the side, rather than underneath enabled me to see and cut the remaining "gaps" in my cut. As for retrieving the items, I was only able to get a power regulator out of it, with the mission item stuck frustratingly out of reach... until I ran right away from the wreck and came back, and that fixed it.

a bug, you should be able to pick these things up with "e" or whatever your interact button is
