Kills confirmed: 0/10 despite killing a bunch of the target type and the faction im meant to firing at
is this a glitch? even scanning the corpses doesnt increase it from 0/10.

When you target those ships, does it say "Mission Target"?

wasnt ships. it was researchers in odyssey.

Make sure you're in the right system for the mission, since it's not enough to just kill members of that faction, and I think when you look at a person it should say "Mission Target" no? I've been out exploring since Odyssey launched so I haven't been doing any of the ground stuff since alpha. I could be mistaken.

I think what your issue is that your killing them in the wrong spot. If you look in the small print on the transactions page it shows you where to go. Like shipping lane 1a to 2b in the system. Or just target the signals that are in blue.

Yes . I accepted one mission from outpost. Mission says "Kill 9 XXXXXX faction member with that controlled settlements" so i searched that faction from sites whatever must be done.I found only one settlement controlling with that faction. When i came here settlement was raided, on fire, corpses were around.Waited there then some ships appeared. Killed all NPC invader but they dont belong that faction.
Checked fation influence. %1. Maybe need more influence to settlement become online. Took few mission on PC at that settlement. Completed and nothing happen exep settlement became cordial. Relog maybe solve but did not work.
So what happened ?
Time expired, Misson contract failed.

i was in the correct spot. it just wasnt tracking the kills and still isnt.

Did you kill them up close or rain fire on em with a ship or SRV?

NPC killed from too far away don't register as dead for the mission, so get up close and personal.

up close and personal. used a laser carbine and then a kinetic handgun at less than 50 meters.

yep. i abandoned the mission an hour before it expired and moved on. hopefully it doesnt happen again. if it does, im going to be mad as hell.
