Greater range on an Executioner?
So I was thinking of adding range to the already long-range plasma rifle, then getting a scope when I unlock the engineer, but is it worth it? Already got faster handling and reload... 🤔

Heh, i have only lvl 2 stuff and you guys are already on the max of mods. :D

Just grade 4, but making plans. Been hopeless at unlocking engineers so far
Get the scope first and see if you can hit shots out at the point that it justifies the range.

In my opinion, the Aphelion makes a better long range sniper rifle, with an additional scope mod(Aphelion already has a scope, like the Executioner) and at grade 5, it can really chew through even health on headshots with the headshot mod.

Aphelion mod list:

Scope
Greater Range
Headshot Damage
Stowed Reloading

Honestly, every laser should have the scope mod, Even the pistol and carbine, as it will just be a good holographic sight, As a general rule, I put stowed reloading and scopes on all my lasers, you'd be surprised how well the Laser Pistol/Laser Carbine works as an all-purpose killing combo with that. It's quite a bit ammo intensive though, but not nearly as bad as trying to use kinetics against shields.

Note that the Executioner benefits greatly from the Extend Magazine modification, giving you two extra shots, for a total of Five, so make that a priority as well.

I have managed a few shots well outside scanner range already, but I guess 100m is already pretty effective, so maybe scope makes more sense

Yeah I did notice that thermal against armour was way better than kinetics against shield anyway, so that makes sense.
