Odyssey - How do you power up the plants?

There's no instructions, and I haven't figured out how to even open unpowered doors before I die from lack of suit power.

You need the Maverick Suit to complete these missions, as you require the Arc Cutter to cut open door maintenance panels, so you can then give them a little bit of charge with the Energylink to unlock the door, if you were given the right authorisation. If not, you can use the Energylink to overcharge the door, which breaks the mechanism and is illegal.

Then you just simply put the regulator in its housing and engage the reactor. This, however, currently needs auth because we are unable to purchase E-breaches until presumably the second phase of the Alpha.

You use the maverick suit you buy from the shop and it comes with a cutter and a scanner you use a cutter on the panel of the door then power it up with your hand held power device (not sure on the name of it) and that powers the door then you go into the power plant and put the power core in the machine and turn it on

To get the Maverick suit first do a few collecting missions they pay about 50.000 plus if you choose the low threat level ones to avoid running into scavengers and dying quickly.

always remember to call your shuttle in after you have collected the documents , do not take any other items or you will be getting shot to bits by security in a flight suit.

Make sure you get your MAV suits and some weapons before moving onto any other types of missions.

Now you have the ARC cutter you can cut any access panel you come across to gain entry to the power station.

then power the door up with you power transfer tool remember this with take power off your suit so do not go crazy while you have no way of recharging your suit while the stations power is down unless you have some extra power cells in your storage.

once you have gained entry you can install the power cell and then restart the reactor .
in some cases there will be fires , these will need to be put out after the power is restored.

there are not fire protecting systems the only way to put fires out is the remove the air supplies to the building.

this can be only safely done from out side by looking for another emergency access panel normally found on the side of the building . again use your ARC Cutter to remove the panel then you will see a control panel this will allow you to evacuate the air out of the building putting out any fires.

In some cases you may need to also visit the command center and disable all weapons and defense towers . especially if you want to loot items while the base is still empty.

Again call your shuttle in advance just in case things get hot on the way out , though if you have disabled the security you should be safe . but there still could be scavengers around that you may have missed.

just play safe when you start these missions a lesser payout is normally safer than trying to grab a bigger payout. also maybe in solo play as in open play to many player camp out waiting to gun down newer players in game.

TL;DR
1. Get power doodad to put into reactor.
2. Cut your way in via maverick suit and insert doodad into doodad holder.
3. Close doodad holder (or open it) via the easy-to-miss touch console to the left and power it on.
