hope it helped! happy drilling!!
Shows tools, and kinda how to do it. You need Pulse Wave Analyzer, SubSurface Displacement Missile (small or medium, medium just has more ammo), Refinery, Prospector Limpet Controller, Collector Limpet Controller, Cargo room, at absolute minimum.
To ignore materials as discussed above, when you have fragments or chunks broken off (the things your limpets are grabbing) you can open your Contacts menu, left hand panel, and select a chunk/fragment, and you'll see an Ignore option.
Icy, you want to ignore anything that isn't Tritium, Low Temp Diamond, Void Opal, Grandidterite. Icy generally sucks to mine. Bromillite is also OK to mine, but is mostly mined for Mining Rush missions.
Metallic stuff, ignore everything that isn't Platinum, Palladium, Osmium, Painite for laser mining, and pretty sure ALL the ores from deep core are good in non-Icy asteroids.
I mostly use SubSurface as an extra tool for Laser Mining, since it only really takes one Small hardpoint to add on.
Any questions, let me know, I do all types of mining.
left panel (press 1 on a keyboard), third tab (i think), scroll down and you will see all the stuff you have mined off the rock, select one and just to the right of it a list will appear offering you the ability to add/remove them to the ignore list.
