Fixed Weapons Tracking
How much tracking does fixed weapons have? I know it has the least tracking of all 3 options (fixed, gimbal, turret), but how much tracking does it have. if there is a 1 or 2 degree gap between my fixed weapons, and enemy syncs in middle, does it have sufficient tracking to close that gap and converge on the enemy right in middle?

Practically none. There is a teeny tiny amount of wiggle, but hardly noticable.

Generally no tracking. Railguns are notable for having a 'micro-gimbal' if you target modules, though.

If you want to fix this issue by other means, look into ships with better natural convergence and/or settle for a mix of fixed/gimbal rather than all fixed.

My experience is around (very roughly) 1-2 degree's adjustment, enough that a pair of roughly centerline weapons can converge on a single point usually.

Weapon convergence is something that has been an issue forever. Unfortunately, short of having gimbals or turrets, you'll have to deal with it.

Yeah, not much at all. Rail guns work beautifully on my Krait in the medium hardpoint slots, but pretty much useless on the Imperial Clipper (okay for a halfway decent pilot maybe, but not for me!)

For fixed weapons you need a ship with good convergence. It actually feel like a small tracking (in real it doesn't), very comfortable to fire small targets.

All fixed weapons have micro gimbal. Its just more noticable with rails.

Interestingly enough, there are some people who complain about the "fixed" weapons in CQC not really being fixed. They are somewhere between fixed and gimballs.

Think of fixed weapon as providing aim correction instead of tracking. They will not do tracking of any form, they will only perform minor aim corrections if you're targetting internals.

I could probably give you a decent idea of what to expect in terms of performance accounting for gaps between hardpoints, if you told me which ship you're using the guns with.
